'Guys, I think we should decorate our room.' I say out of the blues, while plugging my iron.
'Decorate? How do we go about that?' Chioma asks.
Onana suddenly laughs out loud. 'You're not serious.' She shakes her head and has this wide grin plastered on her face as she video chats with the LOLH.
'I'm not the only one who's jealous of Onana am I?' Tife asks.
'No, you're not.' I assure her.
'Look at her wide grin.' Dayo goes over to Onana's bed and puts her head in plain view, then she waves.
'Dayo, go away joor.' Onana tries to push her away.
'You're telling me to go away? Our in-law, time up! You've been at this for fifty minutes already.'
'Ehen? Is it my fault there's no love in your life?' Onana smirks.
'Ouch!' Everyone else in room exclaims, and I hold my chest tightly, while Dayo rolls her eyes at me.
'Back to what I was saying. I was thinking of colourful wallpapers, mood boards and stuff like that.'
'Why didn't you say that first semester?' Mary asks.
'Simple. I didn't think of it first semester.' I shrug.
'We can think of that when we start renting our own space next session.' Tife says then yawns and covers herself with her blanket.
'Oh, you guys are renting next year?' I ask.
Well, obviously they are.'Aren't you?' Vanessa asks.
'Nope. I'm staying inside school. But in a private hostel though.'
'Law students, do you know this Janet girl in 200 level in your faculty?' Dayo looks up from her phone.
'Which Janet? What does she do?'
'She's a slay queen like this.' Dayo answers.
'Slay queen na job?' Dunni asks.
'I was about to ask.' Vanessa adds.
'I asked for what she does. Any special job? Any special contribution?' I roll my eyes.
'That's the best description I have of her.' Dayo responds.
'Guys, where's Rose?' Deb asks as she walks in.
'I don't know. What's up?' I unplug my iron.
'Can someone please call her?' Deb says as she goes to sit on her bed.
'What's up? Don't scare us.' Dayo says.
'I just need someone to call her.'
'Switched off.' Vanessa shrugs as she puts down her phone.
'Did you hear something?' Onana asks.
'Brian has gone back to his hostel. He left home last night. I want to be sure she's not there.'
'I don't think she can be there.' I shake my head. After the conversation we had, I think I trust her judgment.
'Etse, you're ironing.' Deb states the obvious.
'Erm, yes, I am.'
'So, you're still going to the Olas' house?' She asks.
'Yes.'
'Can you please talk to Albert about this.'
Why?'He knows about them already. And we're still not sure if she's there. Calm down.'
