Blinded by love (Kiri/Baku)

"I don't like him."
"I didn't ask you if you like him."
Bakugou scoffs and crosses his arms into each other. "Is it getting serious?"
Kirishima shrugs, "It seems like it for now. I hope. I like him."
"You like him, huh?" Bakugou makes an annoyed face.
"Yes, I do, Bakugou. Just because you're my best friend doesn't mean that you can decide who's gonna be my boyfriend."
"Oh you're already getting familiar with calling him your boyfriend, I see."
Kirishima shakes his head in a sad manner, "I really hoped that you're gonna like him but I can't do anything if you don't. That's your problem."
"What the fuck are you doing? He's literally the definition of a douchebag."
"Stop."
"No, he-"
"Stop, Bakugou! I get it you don't like him but can't you at least try to be nice to him for my sake?" Kirishima asks, slowly getting teary eyes.
Bakugou's face softens at the sight in front of him but he still can't accept the new guy Kirishima is seeing.
"I just don't want you to get hurt," Bakugou says with a gentle voice.
Kirishima wipes over his eyes and nods, "I know. You always worry about me and I do too about you but you can't see every guy I talk to as a threat."
"I'm not. I liked Taylor."
Kirishima chuckles, "I know. He was more your boyfriend than he was mine."
"That's not true."
"I felt like we were in a polygamous relationship."
"I don't wanna say anything but that was your fault. You dragged me everywhere."
Kirishima smiles slightly and steps closer to Bakugou. Kirishima fully zips Bakugou's jacket because it is really cold outside. Bakugou watches Kirishima with his hands stuffed in his black jacket.
"Bro?"
"Hm?" Bakugou makes.
"Do it for me, please? You don't have to like him, just be somewhat nice to him. I'll take care of myself, don't worry."
Bakugou sighs and looks down on the asphalt that is covered in snow.
"It's not that I don't like him."
"Then what?"
"He's not ready for a relationship, I see it. He needs to focus on himself. He'll just pull you into his insecurities."
"He's not insecure. He just cares for me."
Bakugou closes his eyes for a second, "I'll do you the favour and won't say "told you so" when y'all break up."
"Why are you like that? We aren't even a couple yet and you already see us breaking up? You're supposed to be behind my back." Kirishima grows frustrated.
"No, I'm supposed to tell you if you do idiotic things. I'm not that kind of friend that supports you in every goddamn thing if I don't see any benefits for you."
"Dating is idiotic now." Kirishima nods annoyed.
"In this case, yes! He just got out of a breakup. This bitch is heartbroken he's using you as a mental band-aid. How do you not see it?"
"You can't understand," Kirishima mutters.
"Probably."
"I don't care if there are no benefits, Katsuki. I love him! What am I supposed to do? Suppress my feelings? I love him, ok?" Kirishima starts sobbing, "I just want you to accept him because you're my best friend. I just-"
Bakugou interrupts him by taking him in his arms. Kirishima clutches onto him and sobs into his chest.
"It's ok, idiot." Bakugou says and presses his lips against Kirishima's temple, "Let's go home."
"Bakugou?" Kirishima asks with a shaking voice.
"Yes?"
"You're really important to me." He says and looks into his red ruby eyes.
Bakugou nods and gently wipes Kirishima's tears away.
"...I would- If you or my parents would like actually despise him I would...get rid of him."
Bakugou silently looks him in the eyes and after a moment that felt like an eternity, he shakes his head. "Let's go home." Bakugou takes Kirishima's hand in his and walks the remaining ten minutes they have to go to arrive at their apartment.

Throughout the whole way, they didn't talk much. But it was fine. They don't talk much anyway when they are heading somewhere.

When they arrived home Bakugou let Kirishima take his shower first. Bakugou was stressed out.
If he's honest with himself he would love Kirishima to have a boyfriend. He knows that Kirishima is a person who can give unconditional love but he needs to receive it too because he deserves it. But Bakugou is just afraid that Kirishima will be heartbroken. It happened twice. Kirishima loves too much and too fast. He knows what he wants but people often use him and he's too nice not to help people in need.
