Jomi's POV

I had to take Timily to work today,i was supposed to be given a leave but ,stupid Mr O'Neil said no. I could have used legal terms against him but he gave me a better deal.

He said that I could go home earlier ,I could bring Mily to work,i got a raise,and I will start working with them on their newest ship. It was a really big opportunity,I finally got the job I deserved,but what about mother daughter bonding time?

When I decided to ask Mily about it first ,she was very excited that she would come with me to my work place for a week,so I accepted it.

I packed my things from my old office to join my new team,i was going to be a part of making the ship,it made me so  happy. I was also surprised Tristan was the head of this section,normally I thought he just used to do nothing but walk around saying my dad runs this place.

I walked inside a room after a machine scanned my ID . The room was very big,like a hanger,but way bigger,i could see a ship in the middle but it was still under construction,there were machines helping with the work and what we mostly had to do was make the parts and do the design.

"Hi everyone"I caught everyone's attention and Mily was trailing behind me.

"Hey"they all said together.

"Are you the new engineer?"a man asked.

"Yeah"I answered.

"Welcome to the team!,by the way, I am Miran ,and who is this little cutie?"he said with a huge grin on his face ,and he turned to Mily.

"This is Mily and I'm Jojo"I waved at everyone who seemed nice.

"I'm Karen"

"Drake"

"Call me Tracy"

"I'm Jenna"

They were very plenty I was not able to get all their names.

Tristan had not shown up ,but I didn't really care.

While working a lady stumped in with fury written all over her face . She walked over to one of the team members and he pointed at me. She walked towards me with a big scowl on her face and everyone payed their attention eager to see what she will do,in other words,their eyes were on me and the lady.

"Hi"I said in order to ease the awkwardness,she kept staring at me before talking.

"Why does it have to be you Jomi ,all the time,you take everything from me"she said coldly.

"What do you mean"I furrowed my eyebrows.

"You don't even remember me!"she shouted.

"Should I?"I was really getting annoyed by this lady,everyone was nice to me ,my new daughter that was very happy,I was having such a great day  and she wants to ruin it.

"We were both trying to gain a spot on the Ares mission,and then,our Trainor said you and me got a thigh "she said and I immediately remembered.

"Chloe!"I exclaimed.

"You got that right, we had to both compete to decide who goes to Mars,i begged you to back down,i even told you how I had nobody in the world and the cat that made me feel happy died,but you did not show me sympathy,you won and ruined my chances of going to Mars"she said like I was a culprit.

"Look Chloe,I also told you I had nobody too,i am an orphan and I didn't even have a cat to make me happy,and any sane person that heard your story the way you told me would know you were lying"I said while folding my arms.
