Adam POV
How the hell did she disappear so fast? I had to find her if I didn't want to listen to Bobby's bitching about my behavior for the next few weeks. Actually, I had to admit I was impressed with her. She didn't put up with my crappy behavior. She put me in my place. So well that I didn't know what to say to her. That meant something, since I was rarely out of words.
I ran all over that damn club to find her. Wait... was that her on the way out? Yes, it was her. So I followed her out of the club.
"Hey... Wait a minute, please!" I called after her. Since no one else was around, she knew that she was the one I meant. She actually stopped and turned around.
"What do you want, Cole? Did you come up with any more insults?" she asked with a serious and somewhat sad look. Her voice trembled slightly.
"No, I'm here to apologize. You didn't do anything and I had no reason to act like an asshole." I confessed while scratching the back my neck.
"Are you really sorry or are you just afraid that I will post this thing on social media?" she asked me with her eyes narrowed.
Wow, she was pretty smart. But I hadn't even thought of that. Now that I thought about it, I'd probably get in a lot of trouble. It wasn't appreciated to mess with fans, outside the shows anyway.
"No, I'm genuinely sorry and I don't want to be the reason you're leaving right now," I said.
She snorted "You're not the reason I'm leaving. I was supposed to meet a friend here, but she stood me up. So I have no reason to stay any longer. Good night, Mr. Cole," and with that, she turned to leave.
"So since you're not busy, I'd like to treat you to a drink to make up for my horrible first impression. What do you think?" I asked hopefully.
"Hmm...I don't know...drinks with a stranger? My mother would not be pleased." She actually grinned and I had to say, her smile was absolutely stunning.
"So you know who I am. May I ask your name?"
"I'm Y/N. Y/N L/N." she replied and held her hand out to me.
"Well, Ms. L/N, it's nice to meet you. And what do you say to drinks?" I said as I shook her hand.
"You know what? I would really like a drink right now."
So we went back to the club, ordered drinks and sat down with the guys. Y/N was open, funny and had the same sense of humor as we did. It was so easy to talk to her. It felt like I had known her for years. And I could tell that the same was the case with the other guys.
Before we knew it, it was 3am and we were all pretty buzzed. Y/N had already ordered an Uber and said goodbye as Kyle had an idea.
"Hey Y/N, you totally have to come to our next show," he said excitedly.
"Oh yes you must! Give me your number. We will get you tickets and a backstage pass," I said quite loudly.
"Okay okay guys, calm down. Give me your phone, Adam." Y/N replied and I did what she asked.
She typed her number into my phone and gave it back to me.
"All right, guys, I gotta go. It's late. It was really great to meet you all, even though the start was not ideal." She winked at me. With that, she walked around the table and gave the guys a hug. Then she came back to me, hugged me, too.
"Good night, Adam. Call me and let me know about those tickets," and with that she was gone.
At that point, I had no idea how many times in my life I'd think of that night. And how important Y/N would become to me.
