"I can't thank you enough for doing this for me. I know how full your schedule is these days. With the upcoming launch of the new eyeshadow palette and with the company in general. I've always loved when you did my makeup and the fact that you took time off for my wedding means a lot to me," said BF/N as I unpacked my products and set everything up to do her bridal makeup.

"Hello? That goes without saying! There is no place I would rather be today. Plus, you're the first one to get to wear the eye shadows from the new palette. I hope you will like it, since we didn't have time to do a makeup test," I replied.

"I trust you. I know what you are capable of. But I really hope you won't change your mind about 'no place you'd rather be'," she said.

"What do you mean?" I wanted to know.

"Well Josh invited Seth to the wedding and I know he's still like a red rag to you," BF/N replied reluctantly.

"You are right. He is, but I promise I won't make a scene. I'll just stay out of his way. There are 200 people coming to the wedding. So this shouldn't be too difficult. Besides, that was over six years ago," I assured her.

"I know, but this thing was damn awful. I would still like to slap him in the face this days. I can't imagine how you must be feeling," said BF/N.

"Let's not talk about it. Today is just about you and Josh, okay!? Let's get started," I said and was happy to drop the subject.

But to sum it up, Seth and I were once a couple. And to say that it didn't end well was an absolute understatement. In retrospect, I was still glad it happened and that he showed me his true colours before I wasted my time with him.

The day passed in a flash. The ceremony, taking pictures, the speeches and the dinner. Everything went smoothly. I was glad that so many people were present, because that made it easy to avoid Seth. Still, I had the feeling that he was staring at me from a distance; every time I caught him staring, I gave him a cold look and he quickly looked in a different direction.

There was just a little break in the program, so I used the time to find a quiet place outside at the lake to answer some business related emails. I found a nice little bench with a beautiful view over the lake where the wedding ceremony took place.

After I had read and answered e-mails for a few minutes, my phone rang. The call came from the office. It could only be one person. I shook my head and answered the phone.

"Gabriella, it's Saturday night. What are you doing at the office?" I said laughing.

"Hey Y/N. It's also nice to hear your voice. I know I'm off duty, but I left my wallet in the office and thought while I was here I'd give you a quick call to tell you that the samples from the lab have finally arrived," she said happily.

"Oh, okay, thanks. It's about time. We've been waiting two weeks for the samples for the new blush collection. Just put them on my desk and get home," I said to my assistant. I was happy that we had such a good relationship.

"Yeah yeah Miss bossy Boss. I'm off. See you on Monday and hope you have a nice weekend." I could literally hear her chuckling.

"Thanks, Gaby. See you on Monday," I said and hung up. I got up and was about to go back inside when I noticed someone approaching me.

"Hey Y/N. Long time no see. How are you? You look great," said the last person I wanted to see right now. Seth.

"What do you want, Seth?" I didn't feel like making small talk with him. It was pretty rude, but I didn't care at that moment. Some things you just couldn't forget. No matter how much time may have passed.

"I just wanted to congratulate you on the successful establishment of your company. I am proud of you and of everything you have achieved," he said. I laughed bitterly and shook my head.

"My company has been around for five years, Seth. So I'd say you're a little late. And you're proud of me? Are you kidding me? All of a sudden? Have you forgotten everything you said to me back then?" I couldn't believe what was happening.

"No, I haven't, but..." he started to say, but I didn't let it go any further.

"Let me refresh your memory. You said I would never make anything successful. That my dream of creating my own makeup line was bullshit. That I didn't have what it took to be successful. Does that sound familiar?" I said in a firm voice.

"Listen Y/N," Seth tried again.

"Oh I'm not done yet. What else did you say? Oh yes, I would only be with you to be famous. You knew how much I hate being the center of attention. I didn't even let you post photos of the two of us or accompany you to events. But I just wanted attention, right? Even now I still hate it and I only do it for my company and only when it's absolutely necessary."In the meantime I was really angry. Everything that had pent-up inside me came out all at once.

"And you know what pisses me off most about it? That you always encouraged people to follow their dreams. That if they work hard enough, the dream can become reality. But, oddly enough, you never gave me credit for anything." After I said that, I wanted to go, but he wouldn't let me.

"Y/N I'm sorry..." again I didn't let him say another word.

"Save it Seth. You can't say anything I want to hear. Because apparently you've forgotten the last thing you said to me." I looked at him challengingly, but this time he stayed silent.

"You said you never loved me and you only said it because it made me happy." With that, I turned around and went back to the party. Without even a second glance at Seth.

It did me good to get all that off my chest.
