"I can't believe you broke my nose!" I growled as I made my way to my car to drive to the emergency room.

"Y/N, I apologized to you. You know it wasn't on purpose! I would never do something like that on purpose. It was just an accident. And we don't know yet if it's broken." said Baron following on my heels.

What he said was true. He had apologized and his terrified face when it happened told me that he was really more than sorry. He had only been distracted for a second. I knew I couldn't really blame him, but that didn't change the pain in my face. I had to take it out on someone.

"I thought you were a pro at boxing? How the hell did you miss the punching bag? I'm never holding that thing for you again." I asked as I took the towel off my nose to see if I was still bleeding. I was, and it wasn't helping my mood.

"Again, I'm so so sorry. I don't know how this could have happened. My mind was somewhere else in that one moment." he replied.

"Oh yeah, I noticed that. Now, excuse me. I have to go to see a doctor." said I and kept walking.

"Why don't you just stop being such a drama queen for a second and let me see?" Baron asked me.

"I have every right to be a freaking drama queen right now, Corbin!" I replied, but stopped anyway.

Baron came closer to me and carefully took the towel from my hand so he could take a look at my nose.

"I think you're right that it's broken. And you already have two black eyes. But at least the nosebleeds have stopped." he said dejectedly.

"I'll drive you. And then when you're patched up, I'll take you out to dinner. It's the least I can do. And if it makes you feel better, you can punch me in the face, too." he continued.

His last comment made me laugh, but I regretted it almost immediately. The stinging pain that ran through my face reminded me of what had happened a few minutes ago.

"Okay, let's go. And just so you know, I might take you up on that offer to punch you too." I said with a smirk.

"So... can you forgive me?" he asked while looking into my eyes.

"Mmmh... I'll think about it. But it might help your case if you also buy me ice cream." I replied after thinking about it for a moment.

"Deal!" he said quickly.

When we got to the car, I handed him the keys. He held the passenger door open for me and then closed it smoothly.

When I arrived at the hospital, I was examined and x-rayed. It turned out that my nose had only a slight crack. The doctor said that it would heal without any problem and that I didn't need a surgery. The nurse put a thick band-aid on my nose to support it. Afterwards I was given a painkiller.

"You may go home now Ms. L/N. Please take it easy for today. You have been given a strong painkiller. It would be best if you sleep it off." the doctor said after I was finished.

"Okay. Thank you doctor." I said and we headed back to the car.

"It looks like we're going to have to postpone dinner. The painkiller he injected me with really packs a punch," I said, feeling like I was levitating.

"I think that's a good idea. But I'll definitely make up for it when you feel better," Baron replied.

"You know, if you really wanted to go out with me, you could have just asked. There was no need to unintentionally punch me in the face first. I would have loved to go out with you before, too." I muttered as my eyes grew heavy.

"What, are you serious?" he asked in amazement.

"Sure. You're a nice guy. And I like you." I replied in a sluggish voice.

My mind was so clouded by the painkillers that I didn't even realize what I had just said.

"Well, that's good to know." Baron whispered as he drove me home.

I know a lot of people say that sometimes you need a kick in the butt to do something, but no one had ever said anything about a punch in the face.
