•Lab Rats•

The surrounding transitioned from grey modern exterior to white walls and tiles as he entered further into the familiar facility. The lobby was filled with chattering and discussing along with busy footsteps. Those footsteps eventually stopped when a pair of specific leather dress shoes walked across the lobby.

They bowed politely with greetings before continuing their work but some spared the person a longer glance since he was the boss who seldom visit the lab he sponsor. Maybe because he wasn't a science person like his mother and prefer to concentrate on the business world, both legal and illegal.

But in memory of his mother, the lab was reserved under his name and everything go through him which was why Park Jimin was called to the lab for inspection though he was an observant person when it comes to biology crap but he just wanted to keep his late mother's research going.

Obviously all Jimin had to do was approve whatever shit they're doing and flex some money on them to further their researches and he's good to go. After all, he's their sponsor only, not some crazy scientist. Frankly, he didn't exactly understand what the fuss was about from the start and he preferred since he wouldn't understand any science shit.

Jimin dismissed the rest of his bodyguards and have his right hand man follow him only just like usual since the doctors have long requested to have their weird and secretive researches be confidential.

They stepped into the lift and when the door closed, Jimin's figure immediately slumped against the railing of the lift with a heavy sigh. His right hand man couldn't help but chuckled at his boss' loosened posture.

"Laugh all you want, Taehyung. You know well how boring is it down there with those weirdos. Thank Satan that I didn't get my mom's genes of being a science geek"

Taehyung laughed at Jimin's blunt confession but sure enough, it was all too accurate. The secretive lab in the basement sure was nothing but bunch of nerds and their nerdy gadgets while the stare at some weird fluid in big cylinder cubes that Jimin was still positive that they were a waste of his money.

Not that he's disliking his mom's interest but he just wished to have the lab and researches end or shut down when she died but his entire family wanted to keep it so here he is, on his way to inspect some weird ass mouse with carnivore instinct.

The lift opened and the duo were greeted with an excited head scientist who they were also familiar with. Both Jimin and Taehyung mustered a fake smile to greet the scientist.

"Mr Park! And of course his trusty right hand man, Kim Taehyung! Come follow me, I have some things to show you"

The head scientist skipped away in excitement, proud to show off his final results of Jimin mother's research. Contrasting the scientist's demeanor, the duo's fake smile turned into a frown and an eye roll, hoping to quickly get this over with before they die of boredom.

As the head scientist ventured deeper into the lab, Jimin couldn't help but noticed some changes mostly the test subjects because the usual lab rats or frogs were replaced with....humans? He frowned at the few people in glass rooms with white robes while they proceeded in doing normal things like reading, sleeping or even gawking at him with seducing gaze. Nothing seemed out of place but it's still strange to have humans as test subjects.

Soon, the head scientist led them into a bigger compound with more test tubes, microscopes, LED screens and a strapped person on a bed in the middle of the room. Weirdly, the strapped man looked very cozy as he chilled. He even waved at Jimin with a wide smiled as if he was excited or something.

"I fucking swear they're weirdos...."

Jimin mumbled as he scanned around the room, feeling eerie about this whole inspection. He knew he was one crazy person but seeing the doctors and scientists all geeked up looked even crazier than him. Taehyung chuckled and shook his head at his boss's comment but couldn't help but agree as well.
