Episode: Night School

"Lock it, lock it!" Scott yelled, panicking as we held the doors back. Our bodies were crouched down as if that could help us.

Stiles rolled his eyes. "Do I look like I have a key?"

"Grab something!" Scott looked at him paranoidly.

"What?" Stiles asked.

"Anything!"

A look of realization crossed over Stiles' features. He stared at us with wide eyes before standing up and looking out the small window. Scott and I stood up and peeked out the window to see what he was looking at.

The bolt cutters.

"No." Scott protested, trying to hold him back.

"Yes." He shoved the large flashlight into his friend's arms.

I stared at the pale boy in disbelief. "Stiles. Please don't." He turned to me and gave me a look almost sorrowful. Before Scott or I could do something, he pushed out the door and closed it behind him. "Stiles!"

Scott panted harshly as we stared out the small window.

He slowly walked to the bolt cutters that laid on the ground. He leaned down to grab them. It was then that I heard a low menacing growl. My eyes trailed from Stiles to his Jeep only to see the Alpha lurking behind it. Scott and I gasped and began to pound our palms against the door.

"Run!" I yelled, causing him to flinch and look at us as we began to scream louder, "Stiles! Run!" Stiles turned around to see the Alpha next to his Jeep. The monster growled at him and went to leap forward. I yelped and hit the window harder before opening the door. "Stiles, come on!"

Quickly, he sprinted to us. We instantly shut the door as soon as he made his way inside. Stiles rapidly placed the bolt cutters through the handles to lock the doors in place.

"You're crazy!" I told Stiles, eyes beginning to water from leftover anxiety. He looked down at me. I smacked his arm, making him wince. "You could've died."

Instead of saying anything, his arms then wrapped around me. I tensed slightly but dug myself into his shoulder, hugging him back. He leaned his head on my shoulder. "I'm okay. It's okay."

We pulled away.

"Don't ever do that," I told him, shaking my head. He smiled reassuringly and gently wiped tears from under my eyes.

"Guys," Scott called out, making us look at him. He was looking out the small window. We went over and looked outside, only to see the Alpha wasn't anywhere in sight. "Where is it?" He asked. Our breaths were heavy and frantically exiting as Stiles shone his flashlight. "Where'd it go?"

Still no Alpha.

We all backed away from the door.

"That won't hold it, will it?" Our friend asked regarding the bolt cutters jamming the door. I shook my head softly, knowing it most likely wouldn't.

Stiles looked at us both. "Probably not."

We looked down the empty and dark hall as Stiles shined the flashlight. I was sure the halls looked a lot darker to me. I swallowed thickly, thinking. My mind taunted me, imagining possible scenarios where there would be things lurking in the dark. I would be unaware of them.

It was then a loud malicious howl echoed around us. We looked at each other with fear before sprinting to the nearest class we could find.
