Breathless (Kirishima x Midoriya)

Part 1

Kirishima's POV

''Sir, where's Midoriya? He hasn't been in for a few weeks now and we're all worried about him.'' Iida says, standing up as Mr Aizawa enters the room. He groans slightly, ''He's ill but he's getting better and should be back soon enough.'' he says with a sigh. Iida sits back down and the lesson starts. Soon enough, it's lunch and I'm sitting down at our usual table while talking with Sero, Kami, Mina and Bakugo. 

''You nerds are so weird.'' Bakugo groans.

I chuckle slightly, setting my tray on the table as I begin to eat. I feel a little fluttery feeling in my chest and then I cough a few times. I think nothing of it, however, because everyone coughs and it doesn't mean something's wrong. My food just probably went down the wrong pipe. ''I wonder why Midoriya didn't stay in the dorms if he was ill.'' Mina says with a furrowed brow.

''Maybe he lied.'' Kami says and soon enough, we're in a full out debate.

''Or maybe he finally broke up with that asshole.'' Bakugo grumbles and the table goes silent and looks at him in confusion. ''Oh, he had this girlfriend, she's an asshole to him. She used to hit him and says self-deprecating things from his point of view. Shit like 'I'm Izuku Midoriya and I won't buy my girlfriend anything because I'm a gay fag'. As I said, asshole.'' he says before pulling out his phone. ''Or not.'' he groans, seeing a photo of her on his insta but he doesn't bother to read the caption, scrolling right past.

I feel that fluttery feeling in my chest so I clasp a hand to my mouth as I cough again. ''You okay Kiri?'' Mina asks and I smile. 

''Yeah, just a little cough.'' I smile, keeping my hand to my mouth as I feel something on my hand. I wipe my mouth, pulling my hand away and look to see a single droplet of blood. What the fuck?!

''I'm going to the toilets.'' I say, finishing my juice before getting up and leaving to the classroom. I sit at my desk wondering why the fuck I just coughed up blood. It was only a little droplet though so maybe I bit the inside of my mouth or something. It's probably nothing. 

My phone goes off so I check it, it's the groupchat.

Midoriya - Sorry I've been gone but I'm better now and I'll be back at the dorms by tonight :)

Kirishima - That's good

Uraraka - Thank god! We all missed you~

Bakugo - Most of us missed you, don't speak for me pink cheeks!!

Mineta - Cool

Tsu - Can we kick him out of the chat already?

{Iida kicked Mineta from the chat}

Momo - Iida! Our lord and saviour, thank you for this blessing

Iida - My pleasure Yaoyorozu

Momo - You can call me Momo y'know, it's okay

Iida - Momo, sorry... old habits die hard I guess.

Hagakure - Guys!! Jirou has a crush!!

Jirou - HAGAKURE YOU BACKSTABBER!!!!!!!!

Momo - That's cute

Aizawa - Shut the fuck up and get to lesson.

Midoriya - I can hear him groaning from here

Kirishima - He's literally stood there, head against the wall groaning loudly XD

Midoriya - Called it! See you guys later! (:

The students start to pile into the room and Mr Aizawa gives us a free period before we head back to the dorms, awaiting Midoriya's reappearance. I get changed first before sitting on the couch and waiting for Midoriya. Mina came and sat with me and we spoke for a while. I continued to cough throughout, each time a little blood was present and I was starting to worry.

Soon enough, the door opened and in walked Midoriya. I waved him over and he came and sat with us, along with Uraraka who had also been waiting for him. The other three talked while I tried to hold down the coughing I knew was about to start. Try as I might, I ended up coughing anyway, worse than last time. I look at my hand to find a small red, pointed flower petal with a hint of emerald green at the tip, covered in a little blood. 

''Kirishima? Are you okay?'' Midoriya asks in his soothing voice.

''O-oh, uh, yeah. Totally fine.'' i chuckle awkwardly but I feel the flutter again so I head out the room 'calmly'.
