Breathless (Kirishima x Midoriya)

Part 33

Midoriya's PoV

I shot up in a cold sweat, shaking slightly as I slowed down my breathing. My phone was buzzing on the side so I picked it up and answered the call as I left the room. I held the phone to my ear weakly, attempting to speak as I did, but the person on the other end solved that problem quickly.

''Hey Deku, I know it's late. The flight was delayed after a villain incident on our end. We're here now though if you could let us in.'' the cheery but tired voice says. 

''Uraraka? Right, you were supposed to be coming back today, or yesterday, what time is it?'' I chuckle awkwardly as I head to the front door. I unlock it and tiredly greet the two girls stood at my door.

''Wow Deku, you look awful.'' Uraraka so kindly points out. ''Oh, sorry, I mean like, have you slept at all?'' she says suddenly but quietly.

''Nightmare. I was up until around 3 am, trouble with Aoi again.'' I say, showing the photo of Ryo's leg. ''I'd kill her if she wasn't already in police custody.'' I mumble. ''Anyway, follow me to your room.'' I smile awkwardly. I lead them both to their rooms which are next to each other. ''The walls pretty thin so if you wanted, you could easily talk to each other.'' I smile.

They both smile back, ''Thanks Midoriya but I'll stay with Ochaco tonight if that's okay. kero.'' Tsu says with a small smile.

''Of course that's fine.'' I smile back, ''And I don't mean to intrude but you used Uraraka's first name and you're staying in her room so I assume, well...'' I say a little nervously. They don't answer after a while so I go to speak. ''But you-''

''We're dating, we didn't really want to tell anyone but you're trustworthy, always have been.'' Uraraka smiles cheerfully again but talks rather quietly. Oh god, Iida... ''Deku... are you okay? You look a little... conflicted?'' she says, unable to think of the right word to use.

''O-oh, yeah. Just lost in thought.'' I chuckle. ''It's nice to see you guys again but it's late, early, I don't know, anyway, we should probably sleep some.'' I smile. We say bye and I head to my room and try to go back to sleep. It's a lot easier said than done though.

''Daddy?'' I hear being whispered softly; I open my eyes to look at Ryo who's breathing heavily.

''Did you have a bad dream?'' I ask. He shaked his head slightly and movies into my embrace.

''No, I had a good dream but then I woke up and I was a little shocked because I wasn't in my room but I'm fine now because I know it's just your room. Can I have snuggles?.'' he smiles as I wrap my arms around him.

''That's good, what was it about?'' I ask.

''I was a big boy and you and papa were older too but you were still really happy and then I met this pretty girl and we were best friends and then she told me she was a boy and she thought I would hate her but I said that would never happen and we got married and she became a boy but I didn't care because I loved him and-'' he rambles on, his speech slowing as he continues before he yawned loudly and fell asleep again.

I chuckle slightly at how easily he tired himself out at such times.

Soon enough, I fall asleep again, no dreams but I guess that's better than nightmares. I wake up the next day and Eijiro and Bakugo have gone again. I'm pretty positive Bakugo's going to propose to Mina and Eijiro's helping him, it's the only logical explanation and I've thought of everything. I hear a knock at the door as I finish changing so I pick up Ryo who's still sleeping and head to the front door.

''Hey, can you- Deku? Oh thank god! Can I come in?'' I hear a little voice that I recognise. I look down slightly to see a girl with long, pale hair. It's a grey-ish blue and she has a little horn on her head.

''Eri-chan?'' I smile and she nods. I move aside, ''Come in. What's the problem?'' I ask.

''I was out with my dads and a villain attacked, they told me there was a clubhouse close by, full of heroes and to stay there while they dealt with the villain.'' she smiles. 

''Your dads? They're gay huh?'' I ask and she nods. ''God, you're so big since I saw you last.'' I smile, setting Ryo down on the sofa.

''Yeah, I'm 12 now and I have a really nice family. Two dads, an older brother and a younger sister. She's 4 now. My dads found this cool clinic that combines their DNA to create a child, it specifies with gay couples or couples who struggle to have kids.'' Eri smiles.

''You're a lot smarter too, apparently.'' I chuckle softly.

''And you're still short.''

''Hey~ I've grown.'' I pout and she chuckles.

''Daddy, who's that?'' Ryo asks, tiredly rubbing his eyes.

''This is Eri, she's that little girl I saved when I was still in school.'' I smile, turning to Eri. ''Eri, this is my son, Ryo.''

''You have a son?'' she asks, mild confusion on her face. ''I always thought you'd be gay.''

''I'm actually pansexual, that's when you don't care about someone's gender identity. I used to have a girlfriend, she wasn't very nice but I ended up with this cheeky monkey.'' I say, ruffling Ryo's hair as he chuckles.

''So you have a boyfriend?'' she asks.

''You remember the red head who helped us when we rescued you?'' I ask and she nods. ''Eijiro Kirishima, he's my boyfriend.'' I smile and she giggles softly.

''That's so cute~'' she smiles.

''Do you want anything to eat?'' I ask and both children nod.

I head to the kitchen, both children following close behind. I make some katsudon while they sit down at the kitchen counter. I dish out the food and we eat in silence before one of the twins begins to cry. ''Give us a moment.'' I smile and head to their room. I pick them both up and head back to the kitchen where Eri stares in awe.

''Woah, how many kids are hidden in this house?'' she asks excitedly, motioning to the twins.

''You wanna hold em?'' I ask and she nods quickly. I hand one of the twins to Eri, saying ''That's Mio and this is Midori.'' She smiles at the small angel in her arms and rocks her gently. ''Her mom is Mina who I'm pretty sure is asleep upstairs and her dad is Bakugo, the really angry one.''

''Mina... the pink one? Oh, she's really pretty.'' Eri smiles.

''Awe, thanks.'' Mina says, strutting towards us.

''Speak of the devil.'' me and Eri chuckle in sync. That's when the door went. ''That's probably your dads.'' I smile and head to the door. I open it with one hand, the other cradling Midori carefully.

''Hey, is- Midoriya?!'' the scruffy man at the door says, gasping in surprise.
