Breathless (Kirishima x Midoriya)

Part 24

Midoriya's PoV

I wait by the main doors to the hall when they open and a police officer walks in, cradling Ryo in his arms. ''Officer, sorry about the change of appearance. I got hit with a fusion quirk, courtesy of whoever's on school grounds. I'm now fused with Eijiro Kirishima.'' I explain and he sighs.

''We've been looking for that girl for a while now. Do you need a better description of her?'' he asks me and I nod. He tells me what she looks like and a few other things before I message Aizawa. Then the officer hands Ryo to me and I hold him close and protectively. I head to our table again where I can see Bakugo, Mina, Sero, Kaminari, Iida and Todoroki.

''Deku... why's Ryo here?'' Kachan asks in confusion, him being the only other person who knows of Ryo's existence. All the others are just flat out confused.

''My mom... she just tried to kill herself. Dad's in jail and I have no other relatives so Ryo's with me until we find somewhere for him and as you know, I'm not putting my son through foster care so I guess he's staying at the dorms.'' I whisper to Kachan so the others don't hear, tears threatening to fall again. ''We also have a full description of the intruder now so if they're in here, we'll know.'' Eijiro adds, explaining how the intruder looks to them.

''That's cool and all but who are you and why are you holding a baby?'' Iida asks.

''Oh, it's Izuku.''''And Kirishima.'' ''We got hit by the intruders quirk and she fused us. This is Ryo, he's staying with me until I find somewhere he can stay until we graduate.'' I explain. ''Also, he's my son. He's 5 months old and he's Aoi's so can we refrain from asking about his mom please.'' I say and him and Todoroki nod. I can feel tears prickling my eyes, at first because I was scared they would judge me for having a child and then because they didn't say I was a slut or a whore.

''He's cute. I'd be happy to help if you ever need anything... Endeavour's credit card.'' Todoroki says monotonously. The table chuckles slightly before Mina makes grabby hands at Ryo. I pass him over and I swear she fell in love immediately because her face just had this huge smile. It's comforting to know that my friends and classmates care so much about Ryo after knowing him 2 seconds.

I sit down in the chair beside Mina, my eyes glued to Ryo. I trust Mina but I've just nearly lost my mom and I'm probably just scared. I don't even know what condition she's in and I can't see her either because of the intruder and the whole being one with Eijiro et cetera. I groan slightly as I sip my fruit cider.

I look down at the ring on my finger and it momentarily makes me smile before that overwhelming feeling of emptiness comes back. That feeling of being alone even though Eijiro and I are literally the same person now. Soon enough, Sero, Kaminari and Kachan head to the dance floor with Mina and I'm sat down with little Ryo again.

I cradle Ryo in my arms for about 5 more minutes before Present Mic starts to talk. ''The intruder has been found and is being escorted from the premises as we speak. A teacher will escort your class to your respective dorm buildings before homeroom teachers join their classes in the dorms. All doors and windows will be locked and you are forbade from leaving the building until a full search of the campus is conducted tomorrow.'' he explains. I stand up and head to the rest of my class with Iida and Todoroki. I'm pretty sure Eijiro's asleep because he hasn't spoken for a while or even thought anything.

Just as we were told, Aizawa escorts class 1-A to the dorms before we all head to windows, doors et cetera and lock them tightly. Aizawa lays down his sleeping bag after we all budge up slightly to make room in the large circle of sleeping bags covering the floor of the commons.

The next day, the search was conducted and the campus was deemed 'safe' so we proceeded to go back to normal and do our school lessons. That day was hell because we still had no idea if the quirk would wear off and if it would, when it would happen. For all we knew, we could be stuck together for years before something happened. What would happen if we stayed like that forever. That's when we decided to train each other, show off how our quirk works. 

And within 2 weeks, I had full control over Eijiro's and he could use mine without obliterating any limbs which was really good but probably only because when we fused or merged, our physical strength kinda just doubled. 

That training did go to good use though because we were stuck like that until the end of the school year. The quirk wore off about a week before and during using each other's quirks, we had grown experts at using our own, figuring out new moves and ways to use our quirks. I figured out I could do a spin kick using my quirk to create a large gust of wind, knocking down everyone within 20 feet and that was with 5% so imagine if I used 100%.

Eijiro had grown expert at jumping due to my quirk and even though we were no longer merged, he could still jump over 5-6 feet from the ground by concentrating his quirk into his legs and fingertips as he used his fingers to push slightly before letting his legs do the rest of the work. He'd managed to expel his quirk down to his toes as he pushed off, giving him a major boost. I don't fully understand it either but it's pretty cool. He also used this skill to get a headstart when running. We progressed super quickly and grew closer because we experienced each other's traumas and how the other was feeling meaning we knew just how to help.

I don't know if any of this would actually work or not but just go with it please ;-;
