Breathless (Kirishima x Midoriya)

Part 29

Midoriya's PoV

I wake up in the morning to find Eijiro's already gone which is unusual. It's normally me who wakes up first. I won't stress about it, he's probably just had a nightmare or something. I get dressed and head downstairs. I take a paracetamol for my injuries before sitting down across from Ei.

''I noticed you were gone when I woke up, another nightmare?'' I ask.

''Oh, no. I stayed in the spare room, scared I might touch one of your injuries in the night so I figured better safe than sor- whyyyy are you looking at me like that?'' Eiji gives a confused look.

''Because you're not funny.''

''I'm not trying to be funny?'' he gives a questioning look.

''Well what are you trying to be because I was still awake when you got in bed.''

''But I didn't sleep with you last night, even ask Bakugo.''

''It's true, I saw him in the spare room last night, my showers still broke.'' Kachan says before walking off, not wanting to get involved in our shit again.

''Wait, but you and I were cuddling...'' I say in slight horror. He shakes his head and both of our faces contort. ''Then who was in my room last night?'' I ask.

''I don't know, maybe it was a dream?'' he asks.

''But the blanket had moved as if someone had slept there-'' I say. ''You know what, you're probably right, I probably pulled the blanket in my sleep.'' I say before finishing the last mouthful of cereal. I follow Ei into the living room.

We sit on the sofa watching a movie before Kachan looks over and heads out with Eijiro. They're talking a lot recently too. If I had to guess why, I think Kachan's finally going to propose to Mina. Sometimes I forget that the others don't know they're a thing. 

I remember some guy walking up to Mina while we were clubbing and she couldn't say 'I'm sorry, this is my boyfriend' because the others were there so she instead said 'sorry, I'm gay' and then everyone started pointing our girls to her and while I found it funny for a while, it was just awkward when she tried to explain that she just wanted him to leave. Everyone was so confused because, and I'm sorry Eijiro, but he was hot... and rich too.

By 12 O'clock, it's just me and Mina because everyone else are out on dates or watching movies or finally signing those damn papers for the agency. Mina's still here with me because our S/O's are out doing god knows what. ''Hey, wanna go grab a coffee?'' I ask. She smiles and nods so I help her up and we head to the car. I drive a little slower, nervous that we might crash again but I continue on, knowing that chance is low.

''Ngh~ Mido, t-the baby- ah!'' Mina starts. I glance over quickly and see a red stain on the pale blue jeans she's wearing. I change course to the hospital and within 5 minutes, we're there. She's rushed into the ER and they ask if there's anyone they can call which I refuse, explaining that she kept the pregnancy a secret. The nurse nods and I turn off tracking on my phone so the others don't know where we are.

I feel awful, did she just have a miscarriage? I hope not, she'll be so broken. What if it was the car crash that did it? Was it my fault because I couldn't stop the car in time? Will she hate me if she loses the baby? What if-

''Visitor for Mina Ashido?'' a nurse calls, pulling me from my thoughts. I stand up and she leads me to a room. What I saw when I got there was unexpected to say the least and I felt tears fill my eyes as I walked towards Mina. How long was I lost in thought, for god sake!
