Breathless (Kirishima x Midoriya)

Part 7

Kirishima's POV

I let out a chuckle as Bakugo pushes Mina off of him and crawls backwards to sit up against the wall, his hands in his knees as he pulls his legs into his chest. ''Bakugo...'' Mina says quietly, watching as the usually explosive boy curls into a ball and retreats from reality.

''Good job Mina, you broke Blasty McSplode.'' I joke and her face flushes a deep red which is weird because she's already pink. She pouts and sits on my bed.

''I only kissed him.'' she whines.

''Yeah, and he only-'' I start but get cut off rudely when Bakugo tackles me from the side. Mina laughs loudly and for a moment, I'm happy until the coughing starts again. Bakugo lets go immediately and helps me to my feet while I hack up another flower petal. ''Fuck.'' I groan, walking towards the bin to wipe the blood from my hand and get rid of the petal.

''It's midnight, maybe we should go...'' Bakugo suggests and Mina hesitantly agrees and leaves with Bakugo. They're cute together.

I stay up till 3 am hacking up petals before I finally drift off to sleep. It doesn't last long though because by 5 am, I'm hacking up petals again. I decided to move to the bathrooms so I could just flush the petals away if someone comes. Hopefully, this should slow by tonight when my lungs rid of most of the excess petals then I can have a second to breathe.

''Kirishima?'' I hear Midoriya's soft voice laced with concern from behind me. He crouches down in the toilet stall beside me, rubbing my back as I hack up a few more petals. Then he grabs some tissue, wets it and helps wipe the blood from my mouth. ''I'm going to message Aizawa, you can't go to school like this.'' me tells me before grabbing his phone.

''Mr Aizawa said we could stay here so let's get you some clean clothes and a bucket.'' he says, helping me to my feet. We make our way to my dorm and I change out of my bloodied clothes and into some sweat pants and a large shirt. I sit on my bed and turn on the TV while Midoriya's out getting a few things.

Once he gets back, he hands me a bottle of water and a bowl incase more petals come up. He sits on the bed beside me and we put on a movie. The coughing went down a little and wasn't so often but sitting right next to Midoriya wasn't helping at all. Not that I'd tell him that for obvious reasons.

I sip my water as the movie ends. ''Wanna head to the common room, we can get some proper breakfast and the TV downstairs in huge.'' Midoriya suggests. He makes a good point, why not. I shrug my shoulders and help myself of the bed, Midoriya following suit. We head to the common room and I plop down on the couch, tears prickling my eyes as I feel a petal or two rising in my throat. I cough into my hand and wash my mouth out with a sip of water.

We're about to put another movie on when Midoriya's phone rings. He scoffs slightly before picking it up and holding it to his ear. ''...You're too mean, I don't like you... fuck you anyway! ...You make me wanna die! ...when I wake up, I'm afraid somebody else will take my place... GOD!! You make me wanna scream at the top of my lungs. I won't tell you again, leave us THE FUCK alone and if you touch him again, I'll be sure to tell him... everything.'' he says, pausing in between parts before putting down the phone.

''Hey... you okay?'' I ask. He nods and sits down beside me. ''Any chance it's that horrid ex girlfriend I've heard so much about?'' I ask and he nods with a grimace. His phone goes off again but this time he smiles softly, I look to see its his mom. He answers again with a bright smile.

''Hey Ma... Oh, I'm sorry. I can be home Saturday night but we have school ...I know, I know, my problem, I'm sorry ...I'm with a friend, he's ill ...MooOOoOoOooM~ ...Okay, love you, bye.'' he says with a sigh, leaning back and kicking his feet on the low coffee table.

''Family drama?'' I ask and he nods and smiles.

''Midoriya, Kirishima, why are you both up?'' we hear from the door to see a worried looking Iida. Midoriya gives a bright smile before explaining than I'm ill so we're staying at the dorms for the day. He wishes me well and within 30 minutes, the class has cleared out and on their way to school.
