12. Going Smooth

Hello lovelies.... Today I wrote a one shot titled My Love affair with Cricket, please do check that, just a one shot and will be interesting too

Tripthi's PoV :

'Get in line and let's practice this for one last time' Vishal sir said before starting the music once again.

We danced for the same song for the nth time. All of us are exhausted, we got a break after that, Trainers warned us not to have a heavy meal as that will affect our performances. We finished our lunch and ran into the rooms to get ready.

Slots are fixed for performances. The program starts at 3:00 pm with many speeches, the Natyanivedan starts at 4pm with Kuchipudi, the 5 to 6 slot is given to Kathak and Bharatanatyam is given the 6 to 7 slot, the later one to Odissi. They will take our Bharatanatyam troop there by 5:30,we should be ready to perform there and after completion, we will be brought back to the institute by same bus.

We rested for a while when the Kathak and Kuchipudi dancers got ready, after they departed to the Natyanivedan Program conducted in NTR Stadium, one of the largest stadiums in Hyderabad. Later we started getting ready, I should say the makeup made me look so good unlike what I actually look.

I started eating the apple,Bhabhi packed warning me to eat that before performance to gain energy. Vishal Sir came towards me asking "You got ready?"

'Yes, Sir the others are getting ready too', I replied to him.

'Tripthi, right?' he asked me raising a brow

"Yes Sir", I smiled at him.

'Tripthi, Everyone in the group dance wonderful but you are quite unique from them', Sir said to me.

"How am I unique Sir?" I asked him getting scared thinking that I would have done something stupid for sure.

'There are many great dancers in the world, but there are only few who enjoy dancing and we can literally count on our fingers the number of people who make the dance alive with their passion and every movement they make makes the dance more alive. You are one such kind of person. You forget everything while you are performing and are totally immersed in the art, your every moment is perfect and the expressions on your face bring life to dance', He spoke making me shell shocked.

''I am speaking truth Tripthi, every Teacher wish to have a student like you, Dance is not something we learn for happiness, Dance is divine, If we concentrate on it, that will bless us with eternal happiness and will make us reach The Supreme lord. Dance does not have any religion barriers, it can touch everyone's soul, I am really happy to find someone like you who just don't dance like everyone else, but take every step with passion and worship the Dance you have learnt", Sir said placing his hand on my head.

I immediately touched feet for his blessings and tears made their way into my eyes, Sir made me stand up when my tears fell on his feet and asked me 'Why are you crying?'.

'I always loved dancing, since childhood I am interested towards it, My mom told me that I was 4 when I cried at home to join me in a dance school, I still remember my 1st stage performance when I am 7 yr old, I danced on Lord Krishna's song and that's how my devotion towards him started, with my increasing age my love towards dance too grew, but I am always sidelined or place in the back side rows owing to my complexion'.

"Dance really takes me to some other world, I always enjoy dancing, but I never had chance to do a solo performance or to dance standing in the front row, You made that dream come true and now you just complimented me in a way I don't even believe, if even half of what you said is true, I can literally die in happiness", I spoke with happy tears in my eyes.
