Tripthi's PoV :
We came back to Vijayawada. I joined my college and got immersed in studies. Akka joined a coaching institute for cracking some bank exams. Mom and dad are searching for suitable matches for Akka and days are going monotonous.
One and half years later (1.5 years)
"Aww, he looks too tiny, his feet are so small", I said looking the newborn baby boy of Rishi Annayya and Alisha Bhabhi into my Arms.
"I am your youngest Atta, we will play together", I said gently cradling him in my arms.
'Now let me lift him too', saying that Akka took him from my arms. I went and kissed Bhabhi, she looks so weak, and I congratulated her and Annayya. I am soo happy for the arrival of the little one like everyone else.
'Doctors said that as both baby and mother are healthy, they will discharge her tomorrow and we can take them home', Rajani aunt mother of Rishi Annayya replied to Dad.
"Yes, that is really good news, but you people please attend Krithi's engagement scheduled after 4 days. We can't ask Alisha as she can't come with a newborn baby, but you people please attend the function even for a few hours", my mom said to Rajni Aunty.
'Don't worry Aunty, I will send them as I can probably manage few hours with the little one and the function hall is just 45 minutes away from our home', Bhabhi said reassuringly to my Mom.
We left the hospital after some time and reached some of our relatives' home.
After searching many matches, Akka's marriage is finalized with Abhishek Kumar, working as an Account in a government bank, hailing from Ananthpur, Andhra Pradesh currently working in Chennai.
He is totally lost by watching Akka the marriage got fixed and my parents are offering him a dowry of 10 lakhs. I fought a lot about that matter and even earned a slap from mom saying that, this is how things work.
"Everything is followed only in textbooks, in real life, everyone demands dowry and girls' parents give that, there are only a few like your Rishi Annayya, the same cycle will repeat for you too, maybe people will demand more dowry in your case considering your dark skin. Now stop interfering in our matters, go and live your dreamy world of joining Armed forces", were my Mom's exact words when I fought about dowry matter.
I gave up the fight accepting the fact that no one will ever change. The groom's family wanted the engagement to be conducted in Hyderabad as most of their relatives stay here.
The engagement is scheduled near to Bhabhi's due date. We reached Hyderabad after 2 days of Bhabhi's delivery which is 5 days before the engagement.
I loved the Baby boy; Rishi Annayya is probably on the moon. Bhabhi informed her parents and silently wished for their arrival but that didn't happen.
We became busy with the engagement work. I am helping them unwillingly. I am working hard, going here and there. On the day before the engagement of Akka after completion of all work I took a hot shower and entered the bedroom only to witness Akka crying by sitting in a balcony.
I quickly grabbed my pajamas and ran towards her to know the reason for her tears but she shooed me away by saying to let her stay in peace. But who is going to do that?
