8. Triumph

Armaan's PoV :

'So Mr. Kohli we have gone through your plan and presentation, We think that you are too young for this responsibility and your company is still in its budding stage, We are not confident enough to take this risk', the person seated in the middle spoke to me.

"It is valid to think in that way sir, I totally accept that anyone will have some doubts with new companies and No one can trust someone with this high investment. But as you know, I have started this company only 2 months back, but before this I have did some great risky projects, single handedly without a proper plan yet succeeded in it. Now I do have a team who are highly enthusiastic and supportive we have plans and I totally think that we will try our level best not to disappoint you". I replied genuinely.

'Young man I can clearly see passion in your eyes and I can't stop myself from appreciating your plan, if everything goes according to your plan I am sure that Artificial Intelligence is going to create some great revolutions, but what if your plan fails? Why should we choose to invest in your company rather than other companies present here?' he questioned me raising a brow.

"Sir, My company 'Ikigai tech', the word 'Ikigai' a Japanese word which translates to the reason for being/the thing that gets you out of bed every morning, the same thing reflects in my life Sir".

"I was never a quitter and never will be, I have dreams which I truly feel can transform many things for good and about the investment part, every company which is doing wonders now got started with a gut feeling and if some investors never risked to invest their hard earned money, these great companies who is ruling the world at present would have never seen the light".

"I have presented my idea before you, I have said what I did and what I believe, now everything is in your hands to trust in me and invest in Ikigai tech, As everyone even I will be eager to listen good news but I am assuring you sir, you will surely watch me not giving up". I replied confidently

'So Mr.Kohli, won't you feel bad if all your hard work goes in vain if you don't get this investment?', the lady asked me

"Mam, it's human nature to feel bad if things don't go our way, I will definitely feel bad if our hard work doesn't get enough credit but as some special one said we should give our best work hard but should never expect the results and probably prepare for the worst, so if you are not ok with investing in Ikigai tech I can understand that", I replied the board but the words came out of my mouth are the same I got to listen from the Dark brown eyed girl.

'Quite big talk for a 22 year old, don't you think so Mr.Kohli?' came from another one.

"I don't think that's a big talk and I personally don't feel that there is a certain age to learn big things or inculcate great habits", I replied them flashing a heart full smile remembering Ms.Backpack.

'It's very good Mr.Kohli, everything is good, but we are still skeptical to invest in your company so better luck for the next time, don't feel bad', the navy blue tuxedo person said in his authoritative voice.

"No Mr.Awasthi haven't you heard what he said, he is already prepared for the worst and I think he will be having plans and probably won't be sulking around for the lost opportunity. Isn't it right young man?" other one from the team questioned me.

"Sir, I have said that I will surely be sad, but I won't stop working thinking about something negative. But I do have a request from your board", I requested them.

'Yes, what is that Mr.Kohli?' They said in unison

'Sir, you may have your own reasons for rejecting my proposal. But I want to know on what basis you have rejected the proposal and backed off from investing in Ikigai Tech, so that I can get to know the mistake we have done and will further improvise further, so that the next time we can take the points into consideration before proceeding further'. I asked genuinely as I want to know the thing we lacked.

"Mr. Kohli, the only problem is you being so strong and confident on your plan and not even giving all of a chance to pick one negative thing about you and your work. Here we tried every way to demotivate you, but you are not even giving us a chance to see your vulnerable state, you are being too strong", The main one in the group said this laughing at me.

'I can't quite understand what you are saying? I asked genuinely' as I can't interpret what they are saying.

Mr.Kohli we are quite impressed by your plan, we just wanted to test the person with whom we are investing this much amount and We should say you are far better than what we thought and now we are happy to announce that our company 'Sceptor Industries' is ready to invest in your company.

"We are happy to announce our new deal with Ikigai Tech, we are ready to make a investment of 75cr with your company which 25cr more than what we announced before. We are really looking forward to see the transformation you are speaking. So here's the papers, go through them and money will be transferred to the company's account". The Gentleman said to me smiling.

Really did I just won their trust? Did my efforts Triumph? My hard work finally got the recognition? I am overjoyed by the thoughts, I stood silent for few minutes and let the news sink into my brain and heart.

"I can't express my gratitude to you for trusting our idea and encouraging us by investing in our company that too with a 50% hike, I am truly overwhelmed by this Sir. Now I promise you that I will never let you down and work hard to make this dream a reality and will forever be indebted to you". I thanked them.

'We are sure that you will succeed in this All the very best Mr.Kohli we hope to see your success, the further details and proceedings will be done through mails, you can leave now', they spoke to me with a smile.

"Yes Sir Thank you, will be eager to work on this, Thank you once again Mam and all the Gentlemen for patiently listening my idea and trusting me", with that I came out taking my MacBook and files passing them a smile.

I climbed down the steps and can see Kunal strolling back and forth with tension. I went near him. I can see his shirt wrinkled and forehead creased.

'What had happened'? he asked me pressing every word.

'Well Mr.Ghosh, we should not be fooling anymore now and should seriously work on the improvement of company', I replied him keeping a straight face.

"What do you mean by that?" he asked me. I can see tension evident in his eyes

'That means we should work our ass of to make our dream successful and we can really pay good salaries to our team, Kunal our efforts got the well deserved Triumph', I hugged him saying that.

Tadaaa... another update. Our lead got the success and from next chapter you will know how the story progressed, how they met again and all

Be patient with the story, I know I have gone little overboard with this part but trust me this is needed for the chapter to know how Armaan is and how he behaves at difficult situations.
