REM's POV

Today's my birthday.

And I wanna spend the rest of the day with Cherry. Only Cherry.

I woke up in midnight. I scrolled through my IG and saw Cha's latest post. It was a greeting for me.

'Happy birthday to my dearest Babe! Another year have passed to thank for. God has given me another year to be with you and I'm willing to spend my whole life with you. Only you. Happy birthday, Remington. I love you, Babe!

That's the caption. She also posted some of my pictures. It brought warmth to my heart. Syempre, ni-like ko iyon saka nagcomment.

'Your thoughtful words warmed my heart. Thanks, Babe. I love you too.'

I smiled and called her number.

"Oh babe? Nakita mo agad post ko?" She laughed. "Happy birthday!!" She said lively.

"Hey. I love you..." I whispered. "I never expected you to greet me at exactly 12:00 midnight," I chuckled.

"Well, the least thing I could do."

"Ba't hindi ka pa natutulog? You're so restless, Babe. Please...take a rest."

"I'm totally fine. May ginagawa pa ako, e. Tapos matutulog na rin ako. Promise. I'll just finish this and I'll get some rest."

I tapped the mute button and suppress my chuckle. I sighed and stormed out of my unit.

I knocked on her door. "Ay! Wait lang, Babe! May kumakatok sa pinto," she exclaimed. Pinigilan ko ang sarili kong tumawa. "Sino naman kayang pupunta rito sa dis oras ng gabi? Tsk!" I heard her whispered so I continued knocking.

Nang buksan niya iyon ay nagugulat siyang ibinaba ang phone niya. "R-Rem? A-anong ginagawa m-mo r-rito?" She looked anxious, so I became confused.

"What are you doing here?" Now, she looked pissed.

"Why? Is it bawal to come here?"

Napahilamos siya sa kanyang mukha. Noon ko lang din napansin na naka-apron siya.

May narinig kaming ingay mula sa kusina kaya parehas kaming napalingon sa gawi non. "What's that?"

"U-Uh... I think you should go back to your unit," she suggested.

I started to get curious. Narinig kong may nagbukas ng tap water kaya dumiretso ako sa loob. Agad namang humarang si Cha.

"I said go home!"

"Is there something I need to know, Cherry?" It's frustrating.

"Please, bukas mo na lang alamin. Not know, okay? I'm busy. Go home, Rem. Go home," she breathe heavily.

"I want to know what's inside," dumiretso ako kusina. Kahit anong hatak niya ay hindi na niya ako napigilan. She was murmuring something behind my back but I couldn't understand.

Pakulo na sana ang dugo ko nang matigilan. Sina Nayeli at Unity ang nasa kusina, nagluluto. No, more like baking.

"Fvck!" Cha cursed and went in front of me while frowning. She sighed, "We are preparing for your birthday...but you spoiled it," lumaylay ang balikat niya.

Natawa ako. "Anong spoiled? Pwede pa rin naman kayong magluto eh."

"Hi, Rem! Happy birthday!" Bati ni Yel.

"Happy birthday, Papa Rem!" Si Unity naman.

"Thank you," I smiled at them and leaned towards Cha. "I want to take somewhere," I whispered with a grin.
