The next ten days were joyful for Manik, Abhi and Mukti as their spent their time roaming all over Australia and brought the things which made them remember Nandini. They knew that Nandini is out of reach from the past 5 days and they were not tensed as she informed them that there were no signals, but Manik is the one who is not at peace and kept tried her number every day with a hope that the call will get connected once.
The trio reached India that day evening and when they reached, they found that the airport is filled with reporters. They were confused because they didn't give any hint in social media that they were reaching today. As soon as reporters saw them, they rushed towards them making them shocked. Manik and Abhi protected Mukti from them, they tried to move but that was impossible.
"Sir is it true?"
"How can you enjoy vacation when the situation here is not good?"
"Do you know what happened?"
"Is it all planned?"
"Abhi sir, do you even love your sister?"
They were confused hearing the questions, but the last question made all of them shocked. Abhi was about to charge at the reporter but Manik held his arm to stop him.
"They are trying to instigate us and let's find out why they are questioning about Nandini" Manik spoke which made Abhi nod his head. Soon they escaped the airport and settled in car. they opened their mobiles and searched about Nandini in google.
'The bets doctor award winner, sister of vice-captain of Indian cricket team was missing from the past two days'
That was the headline of one article which made them shocked and they looked at each other
"What the hell... how can these newspapers publish anything they want" Manik was furious and he immediately dialled the hospital where Nandini works
"What the hell is the news on social media about Nandini missing" he shouted as soon as the other person answered the call.
"Sir, we are sorry to inform this but Dr. Nandini is missing from the medical camp from the past 5 days" the caller spoke making Manik more furious
"What do you mean by missing and how can you send a doctor without protection anywhere?" he shouted making the speaker frighten
"Sorry sir but we can give information only to family members" the caller spoke, and this made Manik more furious
"What the fuck do you think you are, you will answer only family right, then I am her husband and now will you give me the news" Manik spoke making Abhi and Mukti shocked but then Abhi took the mobile from Manik and kept the call on speaker
"I am her brother so will you tell me what happened?" Abhi spoke with anger in his voice.
"Sir, as decided mam went to camp in the outskirts of lonavala... then one day she was missing from the accommodation we provided and when we investigated we found out that mam went for a walk that morning towards the hill and due to sudden climate change there was a land slide and we are searching for her from that time but we are unable to trace her" the speaker spoke making Abhi angry
"And why the hell are we not informed about it?" Abhi asked with dangerous voice
"Sir according to rules, we are not supposed to tell anyone till the camp is over, but we don't know how the information is leaked out" the other person spoke and Abhi took a deep breath
"Can you send us the location of camp and also did you guys find out anything about her?" Abhi asked with a composed voice now
"Sir, as of now the people cleared the way and they found some things, but the confirmation is yet to be done" they got an answer
"What do you mean some things?" Abhi asked and this time he had a fear in his heart and his voice was trembling
"Sir, we found her mobile, her sweater, her shoes during the land slide clearing which shows that she is effected by the land slide but till now we didn't find any trace of her body" the person spoke breaking their hearts.
"My wife is not dead" Manik shouted and snatched the mobile
"Send me the location and you stop spreading false news" Manik spoke and disconnected the call. Abhi looked at him confused
"What do you mean wife Manik?" Abhi asked Manik
"I married Nandini few months back, but I will explain later right now we should reach the location, we will find her and will shut all of their mouth" Manik spoke with determination in his voice. Abhi nodded and they both had tears in their eyes while Mukti held their hands showing her support to them.
The rest of the ride was silent, soon they reached the camp site. Seeing the nature Manik realised that Nandini would have went for walk as she loves such climate. They reached the place where landslide occurred.
"Sir, we searched the place thoroughly and we didn't find any body here but then we saw that land slide reached till the bottom of the hill, but going there is out of option because one there is no path and two there are wild animals roaming there and even some one entered there, the chances of getting out alive was nil because of the wild animals present there" one of the searcher spoke
"What do you mean you can't go there; I want you to search every corner of the place" Abhi spoke
"Sorry sir we can't risk our life by searching her" they spoke and Manik was furious
"No problem you people don't go, I will go" Manik spoke and moved towards the end of the hill
"Sir it will be a risk to your life" the head spoke making Manik chuckle
"She is my life" Manik spoke and was about to slide from the top of the hill when Mukti and Abhi stopped him
"Bhai this is not the right way; you don't have the training to do so we can hire someone who can do this for us" Mukti spoke making Manik nod his head
"Sir, we can do the search but then the chances that she is no more is more that she is alive, even I she survived the landslide there is no human population down there to help her but we will try to go and find her but sir if we didn't find any clue we are going to stop the search in next 24 hours and she will be declared dead" the head spoke and this made Manik and Abhi break down completely into tears
