Once we order our food at iHop, Nikki says, "So tell us. What happened durin' the meetin'?"

I sigh and say, "Regal and Triple H wanted me and Adam Cole to start a storyline on NXT since we're both champions."

"Ooh," Alexa says after taking a sip of her coffee. "What kind of storyline?"

I take a drink of my water then say, "Um, a dating storyline. As in I will be fake dating Adam Cole for the cameras for the next year. I signed a contract about it so no matter what happens between me and Cole, we will have to fake date until this time next year."

Alexa and Nikki's eyes widen. Nikki says, "Yer gonna fake date Adam Cole? That's what the meetin' was about?"

I nod and say, "Yep. I signed my life over to Adam Cole for the next year. Get this, Cole also has a girlfriend who wrestles on AEW. I told him to tell me what was okay and what wasn't since he has a girlfriend. He'd let me kiss him if the opportunity presents itself. On cameras."

"Ooh," Alexa says. "Look at you kissing Adam Cole. You have to tell us what it feels like to kiss him if you guys do kiss."

I laugh and say, "Not a chance, Lexi. Come on. I'm not going to kiss someone I'm fake dating."

Alexa and Nikki both laugh. Our food arrives and we dig in. I ordered pancakes. I put extra syrup on them. I have a very large sweet tooth and I love syrup.

Nikki says, "So, I think dat the IIconics are gonna come after me and Lexi. 'Specially after practice today. They did not seem too happy ta lose to us."

"You guys can handle them," I say. "I know you can."

Alexa says, "They better expect the best from Nikki and I if they show up on our show."

I laugh.

The check comes and I take my card out to pay. Nikki says, "Don't worry 'bout paying, Ang. I got it."

"I can pay for the meal, Nikki," I say. "It's not that big a deal."

She waves me off and puts her card down. I smile as my phone goes off with a text.

Cole doesn't reply.

"Who was that?" Alexa asks.

I look up at Lexi and say, "Just Cole. He needs to talk to me about something. I don't know what but he wants to talk in the training room at nine."

Nikki looks at the time and says, "We'd better get ya back then."

We collect our things and head back to the Performance Center.

It's almost 9 once I'm finally changed into proper gym attire. I walk into the training room at the Performance Center. My eyes scan the room for Adam. I spot him in the corner lifting weights with Roderick Strong spotting him. I walk over to the men.

Roderick sees me and he says, "Hey, Angelina." Adam looks over at me and puts the weights down and sits up. He looks completely different than he did an hour ago. He's wearing an Undisputed Era muscle tee with black sport sports and sneakers. His hair is up in a bun but it's falling out. Plus, he's dripping in sweat. Roderick is dressed similarly to Adam.
