I wake up the next morning with a yawn and a sigh. I open my eyes and I stare at the ceiling.

Yesterday felt like a dream. Did I really fight Britt Baker then kiss her boyfriend after? Yes. It just doesn't feel real.

After letting out another yawn, I roll over and grab my phone off the charger. I rub my eye as I check it. I have two texts.

alexa: hey. just checking in to see how you're doing. nikki and i were gonna take a break from practice and stop by around 1 today. hopefully, you're up. love ya

9:02 am
adam: wish you were here at the performance center. everyone is talking about how cool your match yesterday was and they're all excited that you're going to aew next week. you should be here to hear all this but i'll fill you in later when i call you

I laugh at Adam's text before reply to Alexa.

angelina: just woke up but yeah, stop by at 1 if you want. i have something to tell you guys anyway

Alexa replies with the two eye emoji and I laugh. I finally get up out of bed and I walk to my closet, grabbing a simple outfit. Just a band tee and jean shorts today. I grab a bra and underwear before I walk to the bathroom.

I shower quickly and get out. I dry off before getting dressed. I blowdry my hair then just throw it up into a bun. I don't care how the bun looks.

It's about 12:30 when I'm ready so I decide to make lunch. My phone rings while I'm in the middle of making pizza rolls.

I see it's Adam and I answer it, putting the phone on speaker. "Hey," I say.

"Hey," I hear Adam say. "Did you get my text this morning?"

I take the pizza rolls out of the microwave and say, "I did. How excited are they? And why?"

Adam says, "They're excited to see NXT represented on another show. Everyone has been talking about it. Plus everyone found out that NXT gained some new viewers from AEW so they're happy about that."

I laugh and say, "I bet Regal is really happy about that."

"I saw him this morning and he looked happier than he usually does," Adam says. "I'm thinking that he's excited that this is working to NXT's advantage."

I eat a pizza roll and I ask, "How did Britt react when you got home?"

Adam says, "Well, first, I had to act like I was drunk since I said I was out with you and the guys celebrating your win. She didn't notice that I wasn't drunk. Then she yelled at me. She yelled for a good like fifteen minutes before I was able to get a word in."

"Damn," I say. "How bad was it?"

Adam laughs and says, "She basically yelled at me for the cheek kiss and the hand holding in the ring. Then she yelled at me for 'going out with the guys' to celebrate your win against her. She was fuming. Then she told me that I can sleep on the couch for a few days so that's where I'll be sleeping for a few days."

I laugh, almost choking on my pizza roll. "She's insane," I say.

"Oh," Adam says. "I'm not done. Then she started screaming at me about how I better not show up on AEW with you next week if you show up and all this stuff. She threatened to end it if I did and all this stuff."
