fifty five

Adam texts me and tells me he's home at five and that he's showering then getting dressed then he's coming to pick me up.

Marina helps me get ready by curling my hair so it's in loose curls going down my back. I never realized how long I've let my hair get until I realized it was closer to my waist then my shoulder blades.

I do a smokey eyed makeup look with a red lip color. I add some highlight to make my face shine.

Marina is letting me borrow a pair of silver heels she has. They're about three or four inches with a strap going around the back of my ankle. The toes are open.

I walk around in them to make sure that my knee or my feet won't be killing me by the end of the night.

I grab a silver necklace with a little heart on it and put it on to decorate my neck a little bit.

I also have on a little surprise for Adam if for some reason this dress ends up on the floor. I don't need a bra so I'm just wearing a pair of red lace panties as a little surprise that I think Adam will like.

At six, there's a knock at the door and Marina goes to answer it.

The door opens and I hear Marina say, "Oh look at you, mister burgundy suit. You look all nice and fancy."

I hear Adam laugh before I grab my wallet, phone, and small knee brace that I'll use for training and when I'm in the ring. The brace is just in case my knee begins to hurt.

"She'll be right out," Marina says. "She's just finishing getting ready."

I sigh softly and start to walk out with my things. My heels begin to click on the wood floor as I walk down the hallway.

All eyes are on me as soon as I walk into the living room. Roderick and Troy sit on the couch watching one of the Wargames matches and Marina stands by Adam.

Adam almost matches me. He wears a burgundy colored jacket and pants with a dark maroon colored button up shirt under the jacket that's tucked into his pants. His hair is in a bun. He wears black dress shoes. A smile is on his lips.

"Wow," he says when I walk into the room.

I smile at him and walk over to him.

As much as I hate wearing heels, I can walk pretty well in them. I'm not tripping or anything like that.

Adam looks down at me and I look up at him. "You got taller," he says.

"Bro," Roderick says. "You could have said a million different things right there and you blew it."

Marina laughs and I smile. "He's right," I say.

Adam tucks a loose strand of hair behind my ear and he says, "You look very beautiful tonight, princess."

I feel my cheeks begin to heat up a bit and Troy says, "He's right. Aunt Angelina looks pretty."

Roderick, Marina, Adam, and I all laugh. I walk over to Troy and I say, "Thank you." I kiss the top of his head.

"Hey," Adam says. "Where's my kiss?"

I ask Troy, "Should I go give Uncle Austin a kiss even though he said I looked taller before he said that I looked pretty?"

Troy shakes his head and he says, "He should have said you looked pretty first."

"I agree," I say, looking back at Adam.

Adam says, "Fine, no fancy dinner for you." He starts to walk out the front door. I laugh and follow him, waving goodbye to everyone in the room.

He walks outside and I follow him, closing the door behind me. I eventually catch up and grab his hand. I pull him back toward me. I reach up and kiss him. I feel him smile against my lips as he kisses me back. His hands go to my waist and I pull back. "You got your kiss," I say.
