sixty one

I have a few one on one scrimmage matches against some of the women while we have my little welcome back party. I beat everyone I face. Io is the only one that I don't have a scrimmage match with.

At five, we're told to leave the ring area since they have to get it set up for tonight's show.

Adam takes me back to the Undisputed Era locker room. I begin my warmups and do my stretches.

I say, "Oh if you see a promo tonight where I hit Britt with my belt, you can ignore that."

He blinks at me and asks, "Why did you hit her with your belt?"

I lean down to touch my toes and I say, "She said that she hopes I don't need you to help me win tonight then she called me 'princess'. I got angry so I hit her with my belt."

Adam laughs and says, "Alright, I'll give you a pass on that."

I smile and keep stretching out.

Marina and the guys walk in. Marina says, "Britt's telling everyone that she's coming out during your title match tonight and interfere so you lose your title."

Adam looks back at Marina and asks, "You're still gonna be backstage to stop her, right?"

She nods and says, "Yeah but I won't be able to do much to stop her since I'm now three months pregnant. I'm gonna need backup."

Kyle says, "I'll be with her. I'm not afraid to superkick Britt Baker if I have to."

Bobby says, "I can be with her too."

"I'll be the last line of defense," Roderick says. "If she comes out then I'll stop her. I know Adam will too."

Adam nods in agreement.

If Britt costs me my title tonight, all bets are off for the cage match. I won't be afraid to hit her over the head with a chair or hit her back with a kendo stick.

My match against Io is up first so I get ready at six. The cage match is scheduled to be the main event.

Adam has a match tonight against Velveteen Dream so he gets dressed too, matching my black and gold attire. He wears an Undisputed Era muscle t-shirt. The guys wear the exact same shirt.

At five minutes before seven, the boys and I head backstage with Marina.

I jump around to keep loose. My title is around my waist. I make sure my brace is secure on my left knee.

At eight, the show begins. Io's music hits and I let her do her entrance.

My music hits and I head out, Adam and Roderick following right behind me.

The announcer says, "And accompanied to the ring by Roderick Strong and NXT Champion Adam Cole, she is the NXT women's champion, Angelina."

I'm met with several cheers as I make my way down the ramp. I step into the ring. Roderick goes to his spot at ringside and Adam stands beside me. I take the belt off and hold it up, hitting it a few times.

My music fades out and the referee takes my belt. He holds it up in the air for a few seconds. I back into one of the corners and Adam steps onto the apron.

He says, "If Britt comes out, let us handle her. We won't let her get anywhere close to the ring. Beat Io then worry about Britt."

I nod and look at him. "Wish me luck," I say.

He kisses me softly and says, "You got this, princess."

I smile at him and the bell rings. Adam hops off the apron and stands by Roderick.
