Adam didn't show up to the Performance Center at all on Tuesday. I kept asking around for him to see if anyone has seen him. No one did. I couldn't get ahold of him either.

Wednesday comes and I'm up at ten. I get dressed in regular street clothing to go to Full Sail. I grab my suitcase full of ring attire and gear before grabbing my title and leaving the apartment. I walk down to the parking lot, putting my suitcase and title in the trunk. I get into the driver's seat of my car when I get a call from William Regal. I answer it. "Mr. Regal," I say. "Good morning. I was just on my way down to Full Sail."

"Good morning," Regal says. "I just wanted to call and say you have a last-second match tonight. I got a call from AEW's Britt Baker saying she would love a match with you on NXT tonight. She said it would go really well for your new storyline with Adam Cole. Girlfriend fighting against his current on-screen girlfriend would bring in lots of new viewers for NXT from AEW."

I mentally facepalm. I knew it. I knew she would do this. She'll probably tell me that it's a business decision. I hope she knows that Adam will be on my side tonight.

That's when an idea pops into my head and I say into the phone and say, "Maybe I can pop onto AEW next week as a little surprise."

Regal says, "I like it. I'll make some calls today and get that rolling. If I get any information today then I'll let you know. See you soon, Angelina."

"Bye," I say. I hang up the phone and toss it on the passenger's seat.

I should have known that Britt was going to come onto NXT. I just didn't think it would be this week.

I begin the long drive to Full Sail University. I listen to one of my favorite rock bands of all time. Shinedown. I've seen them so many times and every show is amazing.

After arriving at Full Sail, I park in a spot. I get out, grabbing my suitcase and my title. I throw the title over my shoulder and shut the trunk. I lock my car and begin the trek into the building where NXT is filmed.

As I walk, I notice someone with a camera and one of the interviewers walk up to me. I sigh softly. The interviewer walks up and asks, "Angelina, how do you feel about facing AEW's Britt Baker tonight?"

I stop walking and laugh a bit. "Britt Baker has no idea what she's getting into by coming onto my NXT. She's about to experience what the best women's division in WWE can do. After tonight, she'll never want to come back to NXT after I'm done with her. Excuse me, I have to go prepare for my match."

I walk around the camera guy and continue into the building.

After winning Charlotte's title, my WWE character has turned cocky, arrogant, and occasionally rude. This could work well for me against Britt tonight because I can just be straight up rude to her and everyone will think it's my character. I'm kind of looking forward to tonight now.

I go back to my little locker room and begin to get ready. It's almost noon now. I do a simple workout. Squats, pushups, planks, and some other moves. I do some yoga to stretch out a bit and to calm my mind.

There's a knock on my door and I say, "Come in."

The door opens and I stand up. I'm breathing a little heavy from doing knee highs. Adam Cole walks into my locker room. I say, "Hey."

"Hey," Adam says, closing the door. "I heard about the match this morning when Britt told me. She's in my locker room right now."

I finally catch my breath and I say, "How'd you sneak away?"

"I told her that Roddy and Bobby needed me for something," Adam says. "Hopefully neither of them go to my locker room because then my cover would be blown."
