I catch up with Adam as he's walking to his car. I call out his name but he doesn't turn around. I run around him so I'm staring up at him. He finally stops walking and looks down at me. "I thought you were going to train," he says. The annoyance in his voice is very prominent. It kind of shocks me. He looks kind of angry.

I pant and say, "And let you walk away? No thanks."

Adam crosses his arms across his chest and he says, "It's very clear what you would choose if it came down to me or your career, Angelina."

I'm finally able to catch my breath and I say, "One day I won't have a career and when I don't have a career, I want you to be by my side."

"You won't have a career soon if you keep this up," he says. "Throwing yourself into matches where you'll get injured, forcing yourself to come back early against everyone's advice. You're not even giving your knee extra time to heal before you step into a cage match with Britt, who is the reason you're in this position."

I stare up at him and I say, "My career is not worth more than our relationship and for two seconds, I just wanted to be back in the ring. I just wanted to step back in a ring." Adam goes to say something but I cut him off. "I love two things in this world. You and wrestling. I love one more than the other and that one is you, Adam."

He looks down at me and he says, "For some reason I'm having a very hard time believing you love me more than you love wrestling."

I sigh softly and I say, "I miss wrestling, Adam. I miss it so much. It's so hard for me to be so close to the ring but not being able to do what I love. Do you get what I'm trying to say? I love you more than anything and if given the choice, I'd one hundred percent give up wrestling if it meant that I get forever with you."

I said the word. Forever.

Adam's facial expression softens and he asks, "Will you listen to your doctor? You'll wait until he has cleared you before you get in a ring?"

I don't hesitate to say, "Yes. I will."

"Okay," Adam says. "But next time you pull something like that, I'm done."

I exhale with relief. It feels like I've been holding my breath for this entire conversation.

I reach up and hug him by wrapping my arms around his neck. I put my face in the crook of his neck and close my eyes. He wraps his arms tightly around my waist, hugging me back.

We stand like that for several minutes. Adam is the one that has lets me go first and I look up at him. He frowns a bit and says, "Don't cry, baby." He uses his thumb to wipe my tears away. I didn't even realize that I started crying.

I lean into his touch a bit and I say, "That was one of the scariest moments in my life. I really thought you left and weren't coming back."

Adam kisses my forehead and says, "I'm not going anywhere, princess." He takes my hand and leads me to his car. "Come on, let's go back to Roddy's."

"We need to go to the pharmacy," I say. "I need to grab plan B pills just in case."

He laughs softly and opens the door for me. I smile and get in. He closes the door and gets in himself. He drives to the pharmacy that I went to the other day to get Marina's tests. I go inside, buying some plan B pills. I take one as soon as I get in the car.

Adam drives us back to Roderick and Marina's. We walk in and Roderick says, "Damn, where have you two been?"

I smile and say, "Adam took me on an overnight vacation to Disney then I had physical therapy. Then we got into a thing at the Performance Center then we left the Performance Center and now we're home."
