And so they ran.
Ventus and his friends ran as fast as they could to get away from the awful place, completely forgetting their bikes.
"What was that?" Chris asked, while running.
"I don't know, lightning?" Ven guessed.
"But how? It's completely sunny out today. It doesn't make sense."
The boys continued running until they came to a plaza in the town, and they sat down on some benches to think. What had happened? There was no way to know. They'd ran away so fast.
They sat there, trying to relax and take deep breaths.
"I just wanted to see what was there..." Ven said.
"It's not your fault." Keegan interjected. "I was the one who suggested that we go there."
"But I agreed to it." Ven replied.
"We all did." Chris intervened. "Robert would've done the same, you know it."
"Hey, let's just all rest here for a bit, then we'll try to come back home." Ventus suggested.
Ven put his arms around his 2 friends and sat back. He loved being around his friends. They were his power. Especially Georgie and Bill.
Anyways, this had all gone by very quickly, as has this story.
But after the 3 boys were settled down, they got up from the bench and started walking back to the Land of Departure.
As they were walking along the plaza, they came across a man who'd stepped out in front of them. He had a green tan, and an upside down cross around his neck.
"Well, hello there." The man said. "What might you young people be doing here today?"
Ven knew immediately that this guy was shady.
But luckily, Keegan saved him from the wrong response.
"Oh, y'know, just... Walking around. Seeing if we could buy anything."
"You didn't find anything, did you?" He asked.
"No, sir." Keegan said, shaking his head.
"So, uh, you didn't happen to be walking around a place called Kong Studios, hm?"
This caused Keegan to freeze. "Um..."
"No. We didn't." Chris interjected.
"Well, you wouldn't be lying to me now, would you?"
...........
"Run!"
Ven started leading his friends away from the man, who started chasing him.
Obviously a big mistake.
They didn't run home like they could have, and Ven didn't use any magic, because he hadn't told the Casagrandes about it yet.
But if this story wouldn't slow down, neither would they.
And because they made a bad decision, they ended up in the one stereotypical place to get backed into a corner.
An alleyway.
"I knew that place was creepy." Ven said.
The man walked up to the kids.
"You trespassed. And do you know what happens to people who trespass?"
"What?" Ven asked out of fear.
"This." Then the man put black bags over their heads and stuffed them into what was probably the trunk of a car.
The car started, and everyone blacked out.
