Chapter 13: Man On The Moon

"I guess we better explain ourselves."

Terra stared at the duo, confused and surprised. "Yeah, I guess you should."

He let the two in as Russel stood up. "Scott?"

Cudi saw who it was and started to smile. "Russ?"

"You know him?" Aqua chimed in.

"Yeah, I used to play for him live back in the day during the break in between the first and second album with the Gorillaz."

"What are you doing here?" Scott asked.

"It's a long story. What about you?"

"We'll get to that."

Cudi turned to the others to introduce himself. "I'm Scott Mescudi, or Kid Cudi as you might know. I'm here with Travis because I've had a strong connection with the moon while I was recording with him. Recently, I felt a disturbance in the moon. Not sure what it was, but it led me here... Alright, your turn."

Murdoc had his eyes wide open from hearing that, and he opened his mouth to speak, but Russel stopped him. "I'll take it from here."

So Russel went ahead and explained their whole journey so far to the rappers, and they were as shocked as everyone else was when they heard Cudi's story, to hear that there was a possessed werewolf and the Grim Reaper going around. It was crazy.

"Well, I think that explains the moon part." Terra started.

"Yeah. I mean, I didn't even know werewolves existed, and the fact that I never felt this type of feeling from the moon before, it all makes sense."

"Having moon powers makes sense?" Aqua inquired.

Scott chuckled. "Well.... I guess when you look at it that way.."

"The point is, we must have all been brought together for a reason." Travis jumped in. "I mean, I was with Terra the other day working on a track, and..."

"And what?" Cudi piped up, waiting for an answer.

"Don't worry, Travis. Everybody here just encountered some really weird stuff, you can tell them."

"Tell us what?" Murdoc demanded.

"I got powers." Travis blurted out. "Just like Scott."

"Wait, what?" He said, a little taken aback.

"You knew?" Russel added, to Terra.

"He wanted it to be kept a secret."

Everyone thought about that for a minute, then nodded understandingly.

"I mean, I don't really have powers." Cudi defended. "I just kinda have a connection to the moon, and sometimes at night if I'm feeling... Threatened, I can use that to, kinda defend myself."

"So, powers."

"Whatever." Terra interrupted. "Travis is right. Cynthia and Mother's death triggered something in Scott, leading him here, since Cynthia, being a werewolf, had a connection with the moon herself."

"Actually... I don't think it was death."

Everyone stared at him, confused.

"I mean, yeah. Her body is dead, I know that. But... Whatever was inside of her, is still alive."

"Wait, Mother's not dead?" Daveed said, who hadn't spoken in a while.

"I guess not."

Ven and Noodle exchanged looks, getting a bit nervous. 2D looked down at them, putting his hands on one of their shoulders comfortingly. He understood why they were scared, he was a little scared as well.
