Chapter 20: New Plan

And that someone was Mother.

"Well, we weren't able to get Clemency, and Mother escaped, but we got Tandy and Tyrone with us. What I'm trying to say is, we need a new plan. But before we figure that out, Daveed, can you debrief us on your side of this whole thing?"

Daveed nodded, getting with the group. "Alright. While you guys were out there doing your missions, the kids and I went to the Good Boys premiere and met with Jacob Tremblay. He became friends with the kids, so we met up after. And then, Ven decided to show Jacob some magic."

"Wait, what?" Aqua said, surprised. "Ven, you know-"

"I'm getting there, hold on." Daveed sighed. This was not an easy topic of conversation to bring up.

"Vanitas found him."

Of course, this set off the spark of arguments.

Terra and Aqua got mad at Ven for even telling Jacob about the magic. Eraqus gave him a lecture about meddling in the world.

Noodle and Isadora had to defend themselves over the fact that they had nothing to do with the event, but naturally, Russel and 2D had to make sure their guitarist was ok. Murdoc was passed out on the couch, so he wasn't involved in the conversation.

There was a bit of yelling, and exhaustion from Ven, since he'd already cried way too much in LA. At least there, there wasn't 10 people shouting in his face.

But after a while of that, Tyrone had enough of it, and teleported in between the group of people.

"Guys, just stop! Calm down!"

Everyone stopped and looked over at Ty, realizing their mistakes.

"We're using up valuable time here. Look, isn't Vanitas the guy working for the big bad dude tryna destroy the world?"

"Yeah, what did he say to you, Ven?" Travis added.

Tandy walked over to where Tyrone was and bent down a bit to talk to the boy.

"Ventus, what were his exact words?" She asked in a gentle tone.

Ven shuddered at just the thought of that memory. "T-The Unversed... Come from him." He replied shakily.

"What?" Eraqus interrupted, slowly walking towards him.

"The negativity took shape as those... Things... when we were split into two."

"I was afraid of that." The master said sadly.

"You knew?"

"It was a theory. He's trying to forge the X-Blade."

"And he almost had him, if it weren't for Duncan and Jacob being there." Daveed finished.

"Guys, this is a big problem." Said Russel. "How are we gonna defeat him or any of the other enemies now?"

"Well... There is one other option." Tyrone jumped in. "Scott, I think you know what I'm talking about."

"We need to go in between realms." Cudi explained. "If we find the Road to Dawn, we'll be able to see how Xehanort is really communicating with Vanitas through the darkness."

"But to do that, we would need someone who could travel between the realms of light and darkness very quickly." Tandy chimed in. "And Ty, I know you can do that, but not in the way we need."

"I know." Tyrone replied. "We gotta find someone who can."

"Another person added to fhe group?" 2D exclaimed. "We won't be able to fit everyone in here by fhe end!"
