-12- Way to Ba Sing Se

We waited for Iroh to come out of the backroom.

"I can't believe this is taking so long," Zuko had his arms crossed, leaning against the wall.

I smirked, "Why? You wanna play with the wise men?"

He rolled his eyes, "No! We just need to move on. Those men are probably going to come looking for us."

"So?" I sat down on the ground near his feet, "We can take them. Looked like they aren't experienced. My guess is that they were hired for a specific target, that isn't us, and they just wanted to grab some extra cash."

He looked down at me as I laid back, resting my head in the triangle that I formed with my arms.

"Hey Zuko," He motioned to me to go on, "I was just wondering... Do you... Do you remember that time Azula challenged me to an Agni Kai when we were eleven?"

He scoffed, "Why bring that up?"

"Just thinking about the old days..." I looked at Zuko's eyes from my place on the ground, "She was so mad when I finally got a hang of my firebending. Azula tried to take every opportunity to smite me. Or at least get me in trouble."

He smirked, "I think she only cared because I spent so much time with you. She was forced to see you get better with every passing day."

"Awww," it was my turn to smirk, "Are you saying I'm a good bender?"

He tore his eyes off of me, "Yeah. I mean... You figured out the lightning thing so quickly. And you always seem to be able to control any flame without even thinking."

He sat down next to my head. I kept my eyes on his form, "I'm far from perfect. If you haven't noticed, I tend to burn myself. And despite what science says, my flames aren't that hot."

He smiled, "I still think you're pretty good."

"Thanks princey," I patted the ground next to me, "Go ahead and lay down, I'm guessing those old timers are going to take a while."

~Iroh's POV~

I opened the door to find Zuko and (Y/N) laying on the ground. Zuko sturred from his sleep, but (Y/N) had always been a heavy sleeper.

(Y/N) was cuddled up to Zuko, and he spoke quietly as if to not wake her up, "What's going on? Is the club meeting over‌?"

I laughed, "Everything is taken care of. We're heading to Ba Sing Se."

Fung came out and we bowed to one another.

"Ba Sing Se? ‌Why would we go to the Earth Kingdom capital‌?"

Fung answered for me, "The city is filled with refugees. No one will notice three more."

"We can hide in plain sight there. And it's the safest place in the world from the Fire Nation. Even I couldn't break through to the city."

I pointed to (Y/N), "We should wake her up and get going."

~(Y/N)'s POV~

I was gently shaken awake, "We're heading to Ba Sing Se."

Zuko had been the one to speak, I felt a slight heat rise to my face as I stood.

A man came inside the shop, "I have the passports for our guests, but there are two men out on the street looking for them."

I looked around. I then noticed some large pots on a cart, "I have an idea."

We got in the pots and snuck out of the shop.

Another day passed. We stood on the ferry to the great city of Ba Sing Se.

Iroh looked out over the water, "Who would have thought after all these years, I'd return to the scene of my greatest military disgrace..." He lit up and put on a floral hat, "as a tourist!"
