A few more days passed. Iroh had gone out the other day, leaving me with a still mopey Zuko.

We were now in the tea shop once more. I was working, and Zuko pulled me over to his uncle.

"Uncle, we have a problem. One of the customers is on to us. Don't look now but there is a girl over there at the corner table. She knows we're Fire Nation," Iroh and I both looked over at her, "Didn't I say don't look!?"

Iroh smirked, "You're right, Zuko. I've seen that girl in here quite a lot."

I rolled my eyes, "She has a crush on you idiot. She doesn't know anything."

Zuko's eyes widened, "What?"

The aforementioned girl came up to the counter, "Thank you for the tea. What's your name?"

I could see Zuko tencing, "My name's Lee. My uncle and I just moved here with a family friend."

I waved.

"Hi Lee, my name's Jin. Thank you and..." She looked down at her hands, "Well, I was wondering if you would like to go out sometime."

Zuko was so stunned that Iroh answered for him, "He'd love to!"

"Great. I'll meet you in front of the shop at sundown."

She walked out. And it was safe to say I was just as stunned as Zuko.

Our shifts ended. Throughout the rest of the working day, Zuko had been talking nonstop about the date. And I was silent for once. Sure, I was kind with the customers, and smiley. But a few of my regulars noticed I wasn't as peppy as normal. It wasn't like I was upset. I was just stunned.

Iroh prepared Zuko while I tried to make a dessert I had heard about called Wagashi desserts. Once the sun began to set, Zuko ran off to his date.

"What's the matter?" Iroh started making some tea as I mixed my dough, "You've been quiet all day."

"Nothing's wrong," I began to stir stiffly, "I just didn't have anything to say. I've been plenty quiet for years."

I swear he smiled, "I was just wondering."

~Zuko's POV~

This is weird.

Jin came out from an alleyway, "Hey. Well, look at you," She ruffled my hair, "You look so cute."

I pushed her off and tried to fix it, "It took my uncle ten minutes to do my hair."

She laughed and wrapped her arm around mine and started taking me away. I glazed back in the direction of our apartment.

As we sat down at a restaurant table, I kept asking myself how I got in this situation.

"So, how do you like the city so far?"

Oh no, "It's okay."

"What do you like to do for fun?"

What do I say? "Nothing."

The waiter approached us, "Excuse me, sir. Would you and your girlfriend care for dessert‌?"

Anger and embarrassment quickly filled my mind, "She is not my girlfriend!"

Oh no everyone is staring at me. The waiter walked off. I laced my fingers and looked at my 'date'. She was eating a large bowl of noodles. Seeing that made me think of (Y/N), she was probably trying that sweet thing she had heard about the other day. I know she was baking it when I left.
