Sorry to all! I know this chapter has taken long for me to finish but it's finally here! I'll try to have the next one soon. Enjoy!

"Everything you will ever need as princess will be here," Daealla said while running her hand along the intricately carved wood of the desk that sat in the middle of the room. Though it's size was smaller than most rooms in the castle it was plenty large enough for me. There was enough space for four bookshelves, the large desk and a couple chairs and side table that sat in the corner of the room.

I looked up at the beautifully interwoven beams that lined the ceiling and then over to the window that looked out into the garden. The view was immediately my favorite thing about the room.

"This, of course, is only temporary. Once Oropher and I pass down our duties, you will be moved to the Queen's study."

It was strange to think about. Daealla and Oropher no longer being King and Queen of Greenwood? I mean, I knew they would eventually want to pass over into the Undying Lands but the thought seemed so foreign, I never imagined it to be a reality.

"You're free to do what you will with this space. And you can deny permission of entry to anyone in the kingdom. However, myself and Oropher are an exempt to that rule."

I looked away from the window to read her expression when she said this. It wasn't snobbish or defiant. Instead she had that same sweet smile on her face.

"Though I don't suspect there to be any reason as to why my husband and I would need to forcibly enter. Oropher and I have discussed on many occasions how much we trust you. We are so very grateful that our son was able to marry an elleth such as yourself."

My cheeks warmed at the compliment and I looked at the ground in an attempt to hide my flustered state.

Daealla sighed and took a seat in the chair next to the side table.

"When I first married Oropher I was scared witless."

With my interest peaked, I took a seat
across from her.

"Of course I loved him. I knew years before we married that I loved him, but I also knew he was reckless at times. When we left Doriath back in the First Age my husband was not yet King but he knew how to lead. All those that traveled with us looked to him for guidance. Thranduil was still quite young at the time, around the age of 173, and the trek across lands far and wide wasn't easy," she rubbed her temples as if the memories haunted her waking hours, "Oropher took risks. Risks that should never have even been considered and a lot of elves could have been killed. Fate guided us though, and by many a miracle we made it to Greenwood. We were embraced with great respect and Oropher was made King of the Silvan Elves of Greenwood the Great," she shook her head with exhaust and smiled while propping her chin up on her hand.

It was refreshing to sit and just listen. Daealla seemed to be speaking to me as a close friend or as a mother instead of the Queen of Greenwood. She told stories of their first years in Greenwood which were filled with so much peace it was hard to even recall what danger felt like. Then when those stories seemed to run dry she moved on to stories of Oropher courting her. My favorite was the time he first met her.

"I'll never forget his expression of complete mortification when he realized it was me who was standing underneath that bucket," Daealla laughed with her head reared back, "His friend, Amdir, was originally supposed to be the main target of the prank but instead it was I who became drenched in pig slop. Amdir found Oropher's mistake so humourous that he nearly collapsed of laughter."

I couldn't help but laugh as well.

"Of course, eventually I forgave him. I nearly had no choice in the matter since he would visit my home every day and beg for my ada to let him see me so he could give a formal apology. It nearly drove my ada insane."
