My eyes peaked open as dawn's light poured in through the window. I was lost for a moment, confused as to where I was until I noticed that what I was laying on was an arm. I sat up slowly and ran a hand through my tangled hair.

Thranduil was sprawled out in every direction. He looked so peaceful and elegant, even if his hair looked as messy as mine. I scanned the room and found my slip lying on the floor next the door.

How did it... Oh wait I remember.

I grinned to myself at last night's events and turned slowly in the bed so that I wouldn't wake Thranduil. I started to pull myself out from under the sheets just before an arm latched around my waist.

"Where are you going," Thranduil asked through a sleepy haze. His eyes were slightly parted to keep the sunlight out.

"To get my slip."

"There was a reason I threw it so far."

I gasped at his insinuation and lightly hit him on the chest, to which he responded by pulling me into him so that I couldn't escape. I squealed with excitement and let out a burst of laughter. It was nice to hear Thranduil laugh so genuinely, too.

"Thranduil," I cried, "It won't be long before someone comes knocking on your door."

We layed so close that I could feel his breath roll down my neck and onto my bare chest.

"Our door," he corrected, "And they can wait. Just stay with me a little longer."

A knock came at the door as if summoned by what I had said.

"Sir," a male voice spoke through the door, "Your father has sent me to say he requests your presence."

Thranduil sighed and rubbed his eyes. He swiftly swung his legs out from under the sheets and over the bed. I watched as he got up to retrieve his pants and took advantage of my husband's current state by getting a good long look at his backside.

As he slipped on his pants, he said, "I know you're looking."

My cheeks flushed and I shook my head away with a smile.

"How naughty of the princess," he lectured with a smirk.

The armoire that held his clothes had carvings on it that matched the door. He pulled on a set on apparel that went on underneath his armor. I was mystified by the process of putting on his armor and his calculating movements to secure each section of metal.

"I'll send for Saevel to come draw you a bath as well as bring you some clothes. Your belongings will be moved in here today."

"Thank you," I pointed at my slip still lying on the ground, "Could you hand that to me, please."

He bent over and picked it up, dangling it by a single finger.

"If you want it, come and get it."

I huffed, "Thranduil you don't have time for games. Your father needs to see you. Now hand me my slip."

"He's just going to have to wait. I'm not moving until you come and get this," he said shaking the silky piece of clothing tauntingly.

I rolled my eyes and slowly moved from the bed, pulling the sheet along with me. I rushed to quickly take it from him but as I snatched it from his hand and turned to run back to the bed, he planted his foot firmly on the sheet causing it to be yanked from my grasp and sink to the floor.

"Thranduil!"

He just stood there with a wide grin on his face watching me do my best to to cover up with the small slip.
