07 ;; ain't your babe

taehyung stared out of the car window staring at the things running behind as they move ahead. the lovely warm air hitting his face making him smile a little and helping him forget the mri he had to go through earlier.

the drive back home was quiet as taehyung didn't speak much that worried his parents a little but they didn't utter a single word either wanting to give their son a little time, all to himself.

the car halted and taehyung was pushed ahead by inertia. when he was focused in front and could see someone standing in front of his house and he knows who it was.

he quickly walked out of the car and stopped seeing jeon jeongguk standing at a short distance with a wide smile on his lips.

"how was your mri?" jeongguk asked as taehyung walked ahead but got no answer as he kept on sulking.

"as usual, boring." taehyung answered  after a while and glared at jeongguk, "told you not to come today?"

"oh yeah. i will just leave." jeongguk gulped and immediately turned around after flashing a nervous smile. he slowly walked out of the house but didn't forget to greet and bow seeing the brunette's parents.

taehyung sighed softly when he realized that he just was plain rude with the other. he was just trying to be caring.

taehyung threw himself on his bed and moaned when he felt good when his muscles relaxed.

staying still while the mri was running was difficult.

and he hated it.

he grabbed his phone laying next to him and decided to call the raven head to apologize for being rude.

he immediately did it before he changed his mind and waited for the other to receive it which was just after some seconds.

"hey, taehyungie!" jeongguk with his usual tone asked and taehyung was surprised that the other wasn't mad.

"aren't you mad at me? i behaved like a total asshole. it was just you know―" taehyung was cut off by the other who spoke instead.

"why would i be mad? it was my fault. you already told me to not come today."

"but it was still not okay. where are you now?" taehyung bit his bottom lip feeling a little guilty.

"i'm am outside your house." jeongguk informed and taehyung didn't waste any time to pull himself to his feet and walk to the window. pushing away the curtains, he could see jeongguk walking to his window, still talking on his phone.

"i knew you would call." taehyung saw him smile as he kept walking ahead that obviously made him smile.

"you are impossible." taehyung said through the phone even if jeongguk was standing just in front of him.

just the window screen between them.

"i hate this thing. it's the only thing separating us." jeongguk lightly punched the screen after which taehyung slid the window screen open.

taehyung smiled and jeongguk smiled back.

"i can't believe you are flirting with me, trying to impress and all. why? you could get anyone you want." taehyung genuinely wanted to know the answer.

"i can't quite digest this fact that school's popular boy is hitting up on me." taehyung said and the older sighed, "i like you."

"you are cool and the most prettiest  human being i have ever encountered."

"oh wow, thanks." taehyung let out a small chuckle and scratched the back of his neck nervously, blood rushing to his cheeks.

"roses are red, your cheeks are too, is this because, i am with you?" jeongguk asked pinching the brunette's cheek who slapped his hand away blushing more if that was possible.

"that was so bad. you are deleted. now get lost." taehyung pushed the other away who laughed, "tell me the truth, do you really want me to go?"

"yes―" taehyung obviously lied.

"okay then." jeongguk took some steps back and was about to leave when taehyung called his name.

"hey jeon jeongguk―" the brunette paused for a moment, "get in. we can listen to some quality music."

taehyung offered and jeongguk smiled before happily sprinting to the entrance. 

while the brunette slowly walked to his bed and sat at the edge. tiredness taking over as he breathed out heavily.

"i'm back, babe." jeongguk stormed into the room and plopped himself on the bed next to tae.

"aren't you moving too fast?" taehyung asked and jeongguk just frowned before resting his head on taehyung's lap catching him off guard.

"what do you mean?" jeongguk looked up and as taehyung was staring down at him, their eyes met.

"you can't call me, babe." taehyung knitted his brows at him, "i ain't your babe."

"oh come on, friends can call each other babe. you can call me too if you want." jeongguk smiled grabbing a pillow and placed it on taehyung's lap before placing his head on it.

"friends don't call each other babe. i never did."

"you know what, you are so boring."
