"baby, are you okay?" jeongguk repeated and got off the other, he was panicking so hard at the moment, he didn't know what to do.

"im fine." taehyung started breathing heavily and sat up, fixed his nasal cannula. it took him some moments but he was again breathing in the regular pace.

jeongguk was now finally okay seeing taehyung tugging on a small yet fake smile on his lips.

"baby." jeongguk called pulling the other in a hug. his arms snaked around the other's waist pulling him close but not that close which will lead to suffocation. he kept the right space between them.

something kicked in taehyung's conscience and he pushed the other before throwing himself on his bed.

"i can't even kiss you like i want." the pretty boy threw the pillow at the other. furious, sad― maybe a mixture of both.

the cancer living in him that he claimed to like was irritating him.

making him upset.

only because of jeon jeongguk.

"tae." jeongguk called but taehyung already buried his face in the soft pillow, small tears wetting the area.

"hey." the raven head pulled the latter grabbing his shoulder and made him sit up, "listen to me."

"no, just leave." taehyung denied, still crying without making any noise. but when jeongguk pulled him using a little more force, he again sat up and the raven head now saw that he was crying.

"baby, please don't cry." jeongguk pulled the other closer and taehyung anticipated. he didn't waste time and settled on jeongguk's lap.

"please gorgeous, don't cry." the raven head wiped those tears using both his thumbs and kissed his forehead.

"you know what, next week, there is a party in school. for completing twenty five years or something but people are making arrangements as if it's a prom night. and a lot of people asked me if i would go with them." jeongguk said and taehyung who was looking down now looked up, "and what did you say?"

"i don't wanna go with any of them." the older informed, a small smile appearing on his lips, "i wanna go with someone else."

"who, jeon jeongguk! don't tell me you have been kissing someone else while i am here, simping for you." taehyung knitted his brows to which, jeongguk just let out a small chuckle.

"guess who am i wanna go with. okay i'll give you hints."

taehyung waited for jeongguk to say the name and he was mentally preparing himself to beat the shit out of him. he was so fucking jealous.

he really thought jeongguk liked him genuinely but maybe, it wasn't true.

"his name starts with a t and ends with aehyung. do you know who it is?" the younger couldn't but shyly smile at the words and look down causing his beautiful brown hair to fall over his eyes.

the raven head cupped the latter's cheeks and pulled his face up only to see the other's rosy face as he blushed so hard that his ears were red too.

jeongguk booped their noses against each other's and they both giggled before the senior asked, "will you go with me?"

"how can i go? i am not a student of that institute. i―" taehyung was shushed by the other who kept his pointer on his lips, "the principal loves you, remember."

"it's just one of my cancer perks baby."  taehyung laughed and again let his body fall behind in his bed.

"you didn't say yes." the senior said and pulled taehyung's right leg up, he gave a smile to the younger and kissed his ankle. he peppered the other's tan skin with small kisses while taehyung's heart filled with something he can never describe.

"what are you doing, jeon jeongguk?" taehyung asked pulling his leg out of the other's hold who giggled.

"not my fault. you are so damn sexy, i can't resist." jeongguk stared at the other who didn't say a word. silence engulfed them but it was one of those comforting ones, just smiles.

until taehyung decided to speak.

"you already said that, gguk. come up with something else." taehyung didn't like how jeongguk managed to bring butterflies in his stomach.

"tell me, you are going with me, right?"

"suck my toes and i will." taehyung joked and jeongguk laughed, "i don't mind."

jeongguk was about to grab the other's ankle again but taehyung kicked him softly.

"what if i say no?" the younger replied with another question.

"then i gotta go alone." jeongguk replied making taehyung's heart flutter for the thousandth time.

the answer was kinda unexpected. taehyung low-key expected jeongguk to say that he would find someone else but he didn't.

the pretty boy neither wanted to get too close to jeon jeongguk, nor wanted the other to get attached to himself.

but it was getting so difficult.
