His Detective

Chapter 13

"Are you ready?" Y/n asks Matsuda, Aizawa, Misa-Misa, and Light, who were in a car outside the Yotsuba building.

"Hey..." Misa says.

"It's too late to back out now, Misa," Y/n says.

"Not that. If I land the audition, will I get to be in a commercial?" Misa asks.

"Hey, are you seriously trying for this?" Light asks.

"Of course!"

"You may do as you wish," L says.

"Okay."

"Matsuda and Amane-San aside, I'm worried about Light-Kun," Mogi says. "It's too much pressure,"

"Then let's follow the plan," L says.

"Matsuda is Misa's manager. Misa plays as the talent, and Light is the stylist." Y/n says, going through their separate roles.

"The three of you go through the front door and check-in with the receptionist. Go into the elevator, then head for the conference room on the 25th floor. When you arrive, Light-Kun, please break off from the other two and head to the bathroom." L says.

Timeskip

Everything so far was going exceedingly smoothly.

"Thank you for participating in the Yotsuba Japan Group commercial audition." The manager says.

"The interview is handled by Hatori of PR Strategies Division," Himura says, listing off more names of the people on the screen from the camera we put on Matsuda's bag. "They're four of the Yotsuba executives."

"We'd like the manager to leave the room," They say.

"Matsuda, find a reason to not leave Amane's side," Yagami says.

"No, take your bag and leave before you are suspected," L says.

"But the video," Mogi says.

"Watari, use the other camera," Y/n instructs as the screen changes.

"Okay," Matsuda says, leaving the room.

"I told you, it would be dangerous to stick it in her belongings," Yagami says.

"But we can't take it off now anyway."

L pushed a button on a keyboard, tracking down Light and showing us where he was.

"Light-Kun, how are things going?" L asks.

"No issues."

"Just to confirm for you, you can find their normal conference room by taking a right down the next corridor. It's the second door."

We heard a bang.

"Oh. That door was broken," L said, looking at Y/n from the corner of his eye as she covers her mouth with her hand to soften her snickers.

"Hey. You did that on purpose, didn't you? That hurt," Light said.

"L, don't play around," Yagami says.

"Chief, something strange is going down in the audition room," Mogi said.

"Amane Misa-san, this is a question for, hypothetically, after we hired you," Babel said from a small Ipad screen.

"What's that?" Yagami asks.

"Are you the second Kira? You were arrested on suspicion of being the second Kira, weren't you? Why were you released?" Babel asks.

"Who's speaking?" Yagami asks.

"It seems Babel is working with them," L says.

"Who's Babel?" Mogi asks.
