"From even just the confirmed cases, we have 47 victims. Every one of them was announced after Higuchi died," Mogi says.

"This means there's another notebook out there," Y/n says as she plopped onto the sofa.

"And someone is using it," L adds.

"Is there any particular pattern amongst the victims?" Yagami asks.

"They're all suspects in heinous crimes," Himura says.

"That sounds like classic Kira," Y/n says.

"Has the original Kira revived? Or is there an imitator?" L asks. "Or this could be the work of a Kira worshipper."

"Kira worshippers?" Light asks.

"Worshippers? Kira had a fansite, didn't he?" Yagami asks. "Himura-san, get in contact with the Metropolitan Police Department and reopen that investigation."

"Yes, sir."

"Chief, if I can ask..."

"That aside, it is a shame that the man who attacked Amane-san escaped, isn't it?" L asks.

"Yeah. Though I still don't know for sure if Yudagawa is the one behind it," Light says.

"Did you manage to ask him anything?" L asks.

"No, I didn't get to ask him anything."

"I'm praying that you catch the culprit," L says.

"I'm going to buy a late dinner at the convenience store," Light says, getting up from his seat.

"I'll have a seasonal lunchbox," Matsuda says, raising his hand as if he was in school.

"It doesn't matter what he gets! Just get large fried chicken boxes all around," Aizawa says.

"But that's your favorite, Aizawa-San," Matsuda says, pointing at him.

"Then I'll get a random selection," Light says, leaving.

"Thanks for going," Mogi says.

"No problem."

Timeskip

The next day, L laid on his stomach inside the tent, rewatching the footage of Light from when CCTVs were in Light's room.

"Hey, Near's calling," L suddenly said, causing Y/n to run to him.

"What is it?" L asks.

"It seems that Yudagawa stole a notebook from Misa Amane, but he didn't have it," Near said.

"Where is the notebook?" L asks.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't get a name, but he did say he gave it to a public prosecutor," Near replied.

"A public prosecutor?" L asks, placing his head on his hands that were stacked on top of one another on the floor.

"By the way, he's dead," Near said.

"That's fine," Y/n says.

Knowing Near, Mello came out and killed him. Probably after Yudagawa hit him since Mello usually comes out after some violence.

Yagami was then called to come over. Y/n wasn't sure why until L told her before Yagami arrived.

"Remember what you said?" He asked.

"You mean that stupid theory I came up with when we were with Near?" Y/n asked.

"Yeah," He says.

"What about it?"

"I've decided to test it. As you said, some rules might be fake," L says.

"As long as you do it with proper permission, I'm fine with it," Y/n said, kissing L's cheek as Yagami entered.
