08/01/20, Monday, 10.30 a.m.

Joe shoved a spoonful rice into his mouth and munched it up. Next to him, sat Minhee who already finished her lunch. She was playing with her phone to get rid of boredom. She scrolled through Instagram and happened to find a cute kitten sleeping peacefully.

Minhee slightly curved her lip, mentally cooing the kitten. However, Joe noticed the reaction.

"What is it?"

"Huh?"

"You're smiling."

"It's just a sleeping kitten."

"What's with it?"

"It's cute."

"And I'm not?" Joe's hand dramatically placed on his chest.

Minhee gave him a blank face.

"Yes."

Joe immediately pouted at the answer. His already hooded head lowered. Hands playing with the strings.

"Am I really not cute?" He mumbled lowly, giving Minhee puppy eyes.

Minhee, as always, was unfazed by the action. But she didn't want to let the boy down.

"So far, you're the cutest best friend I ever have." She stood up after letting out her honest answer.

Joe's face lit up and soon followed Minhee out of the cafeteria.
