REEA

"Jimin, pass me the kimchi" Yoongi says from the other side of the fire where he is struggling with a plate full of meat. At that, I notice this girl Julia immediately eyeing the kimchi bowl as if deciding whether she should grab it and pass it to the boy on her right. However, Jimin is faster which gains her a slight frown, the only sign of disappointment she shows. What's her deal?

"Mmmm" I hear Yoongi moaning of pleasure as he finally digs in his beloved kimchi. Him and Seokjin left the lake earlier than the others to prepare dinner. Apparently they have been put in charge of this trip's meals and thank God for that! It is well known those two are the best cooks in the group. They spoiled us tonight with sausages, beef, roasted potatoes and even shrimps, a special recipe that left us all mouth watering. By the time me and Young returned from our little bonding trip, which I found oddly pleasant,, the barbecue was already set, all kinds of delicious smells invading the campsite. I believe everyone came back to the tents following the trail of the smell.

"Do you want more meat, Kook?" Taehyung asks the youngest and my eyes immediately dart in his direction, watching him curiously. He just shakes his head, refusing it. I find it strange. Between all seven of them, he is the one with the biggest appetite. He'd never refuse more beef. Is he sick or something or all that play earlier drained him of energy?

"More for me, then." Taehyung shrugs and stuff his mouth with more food than he can actually fit in there. I crack a smile, not exactly sure why. I guess I find this sight of him so domestic and casual, so natural. I dare another look at Jungkook and I find him staring back at me. However, instead of averting his eyes like a normal person would do when caught peeking, he keeps his intense gaze on me. He looks at me like am I am his next meal. I'm guessing he is still pissed from our little cat and mouse game from this morning. You started this war, little one. I refuse to shy away, although my whole body is becoming to feel like jelly under his bold stare. We stay like this for a few moments, our eyes locked on each other with the burning flames of the campfire raising high between us, until he finally moves his eyes away as if nothing happened. He lets his empty plate on the ground in front of him and wipes his hands with a napkin, before getting on his feet and silently walking away from the group. Not wanting to let him or anyone know that I'm watching him, I force my gaze back to the fire.

"Stop feeding me that shit, Seokjin. You know I don't like seafood!" Namjoon complains and it snaps me out of my reverie.

"Stop being a diva, will you?" Jin playfully scolds him, not really meaning it. I didn't get to spend much time with these people, not like the other girls did, but if there is something that I noticed until now is that there is a special bond between Jin, Namjoon and Yoongi. Those three seem to know and understand each other better than anyone. It's hard to explain it though. They don't seem visibly close as Jimin and Taehyung do, the epitome of friendship, but you can feel it. You simply know there is a lot of respect and understanding between these three people.

"I'll have his share." Inna offers and stretches towards the plate of shrimps, to Jin's content who patting her on her hooded head.

"Ewww!" Namjoon says disgusted, making faces at Inna who is now happily chewing on a shrimp. What kind of a monster doesn't like seafood anyway? I snort and I place my own plate at my feet, stretching my arms over my head. From time to time I glance to the direction where Jungkook disappeared a while ago, foolishly hoping I'll spot him through those trees. I try to focus on the conversations, but my mind is annoyingly flying to him. Where did he go? I decide to go follow him.

"I'm going for a walk." I announce to no one in particular, casually walking away from the campfire, although everyone is involved in a deep conversation about seafood's benefits that they don't really pay attention to me.
