Chapter 3: DREAMS

A voice of a woman wakes me, and I open my eyes in a field of roses.

It's night time. It's always night time when I'm in this place.

The stars hang low in the sky, like fireflies frozen in time, and the air is sweet and humid. A gentle breeze sweeps across the meadow, making the flowers sway as if they were dancing.

Everything seems peaceful.

"Aurora." The scary looking woman calls me. Her black Crow looks at me with it's red piercing eyes which made her aura more murderous.

How did she know my name?

"Aurora." She called again. I took a step back. Now her voice sounds deeper than the usual, sounding like an angry voice of a man.

Then suddenly the wind blew so hard making me lose my balance.

A sound of a blaring horn blasts.

Muling kumawala ang nakakatakot na tunog na nanggagaling sa misteryosong babae.

Then I realize it's not a sound of a horn. It's a blood-curling roar that rips through the dark.

Tuluyan akong nawalan ng balanse at muling napahiga sa lupa na kanina ay napapalibutan ng iba't ibang klase ng bulaklak pero ngayon ay napapalibutan na ito ng mga tinik ng rosas.

A green fog came out from the mysterious lady, hanggang sa hindi ko na siya makita pa dahil natatabunan na siya ng makapal na usok.

Her whole existence shifted into an animal brought back to life.

A dragon is soaring above me with scaled wings and a tail dripping in spikes.

I watch for a horrified moment as it glides over the glowing moon.

Paano ito naging totoo?

...totoo nga ba ang lahat ng ito?

Muling nagpakawala ng nakakasindak na tunog ang kakaibang hayop na para bang sinasagot nito ang tanong na gumugulo sa aking isipan.

Nanginginig ang buo kong katawan dahil sa takot. Nasaan ba ako? Bakit na naman ako narito?

Naramdaman ko ang aking mga luha na lumalandas pababa sa aking pisngi. Ayoko dito.

Nang muli akong mapasulyap sa halimaw nagulat ako nang mapagtantong lumilipad na ito palapit sa kinaroroonan ko at nagmukhang nagbabagang bulalakaw na nahuhulog mula sa kalangitan.

Dahil sa takot na baka maabutan ako ng dragon mabilis akong tumayo at tumakbo, and unfortunately tripping over a rose vine on the ground.

My bare foot is wounded.

Akala ko ito na ang huling kamalasan na matatamo ko pero hindi pa pala. Matapos akong matisod sa matinik na rosas dumiretso kaagad ako sa isang malalim na bangin.

Hanggang dito ba naman, dadalhin ko pa rin ang pagiging lampa ko?

While falling into nowhere, thorns as thick as branches reach out to grab me, tearing at my skin and deeper into my flesh.

The searing pain is making me more horrified on what is happening right now. I can't even think straight.

The rose thorns slice my arms and legs leaving traces of blood that looked like rose petals.

The white evening dress I'm wearing is tainted with my own blood, changing it's color into crimson red.

"Ugggghhh." My back hit the concrete ground with the sound of a 'crack' of a bone. I broke my leg and elbow and it hurts like hell.

Narinig ko ang pagaspas ng pakpak ng dragon na papalapit sa kinaroroonan ko. I tried to stand and was almost unable to do it.

My whole body is aching. At ako ay pagod na pagod na rin, parang ilang segundo pa ay tuluyan ng babagsak ang aking katawan. Para na akong lantang gulay.

I can't run fast or even walk faster because I am limping.

My tears are still coming out from my eyes na parang mga sundalo na nag-uunahan sa paglabas sa kanilang lungga. I need help, I BADLY need someone's help right now.

"Faster." I urge my legs almost pissed. "Come on!" I gritted my teeth as I encourage my self to not be weak.

But I think it's already too late. I can already feel the dragon's goddamn breath at the back of my neck which made me stupefy.

"Aurora..." A mysterious voice spoke out my name from a distance.

Hindi ito boses ng babae kanina na bigla nalang nag-iba ng anyo at naging dragon. Boses ito ng isang lalaki.

My heart is beating loudly as the dragon's presence getting really near to me. I flinched as it's hard scale touches my skin.

"Help!" I called, almost whispering before falling into complete darkness.
