Chapter 2

Sooner than I expected, I was in the boy's hostel in front of Aalekh and Ali's room. I was frozen in place as Naina and Pooja kept on urging me to knock. Finally fed up by my hesitation, Naina knocked on the door.

A few seconds later, Ali opened the door and was confused seeing us there. "Aap log yaha? iss waqt?" He asked.

"Kaun hai, Usool?" Huda asked from inside.

Naina and Pooja pushed pass a startled Ali and asked, "Tum Saab ek hi kamre me kyu ho?"

"Hum to gappe Mar rahe the par ye jananiya ki toli yaha kya Kar rahi hai?" Huda asked, looking far too curious.

I frowned. I always found Huda to be an annoying pest. He tried to kill our Rajveer and ruined Raina far to many times. "Since we're not in YOUR room, I don't see why we need to give YOU any explanation?" I said a little too rudely.

Everyone seemed surprised by my hostility. Then, a look of realization came on Naina and Pooja's faces which made me confused. But it took me a few moments to understand. They thought I was being rude to Huda because he always calls Aalekh 'Qaidi'.

"Aalekh, Rehnuma ko tujhse kuch puchna hai," Naina said bluntly.

Aalekh, who was ignoring us all till then, looked puzzled. "Apun se?" He asked before turning to me, "Kya puchna hai tujhe?"

'Oh dear! How the hell am I supposed to ask this sexy guy out for a date?' I gulped and choked on my own saliva. "Wo..ball..jana hai..shayed..aap..uh..date..um.." I started blushing and stammering like a complete moron.

From the corner of my eyes, I noticed that 5 of the super six were sitting on the beds, watching this scene with a lot of morbid fascination. Poor Aalekh looked confused. He was staring at me like I was an alien.

Finally fed up by my stupid behavior, I paused and took a deep breath before blurting out, "Tum mere saath fresher's ball me jayoge?"

Aalekh stared at me in silence before shrugging, nonchalantly. "Thik hai," he said. "Itni si baat bolne me itna kaiko nervous ho reli thi?" He asked taking a sip from his alcohol.

I gave him a deadpanned look. "Mujhe tujhse Shaadi karni hai," I tell him bluntly causing him to choke on his alcohol. He started coughing while looking at me with wide eyes.

I gave him a wide smile in answer before turning and leaving the room. As soon as I left the room, I started panicking. "Oh God! I just told him I want to marry him. He will think I'm a psycho now!"

A few minutes later, Naina and Pooja joined me outside of boy's hostel. As soon as their eyes fell on my sheepish expression, they burst into laughter.

"Has lo, kaminio! Bola tha na kuch na kuch garbar to mujhse zaroor hoga," I made a crying face which only made them laugh more.

"Hume Kya pata tha ke tum usse Shaadi ki liye hi propose Kar dogi,"  Naina choked out between her laughter.

"Iss jhalli ne to qaidi ki hosh hi ura Diya!" Pooja was still laughing.

"Usne kuch bola?" I asked hesitantly.

"Wo koi SMS nehi bhejne Wala. Uska connection hi cut ho Gaya hai," Pooja teased.

I scowled at them before stomping towards the girl's hostel with the laughing hyenas following behind me. We were crossing the faculty quarters when we came face to face with Captain Rajveer. 🥰

"Good evening, cadets. Lights out hone me bas adha ghanta Baki hai. Aap log Waha Kya Kar rahe hai?" He asked curiously. I noticed his eyes lingered on Naina. I smiled at that.
