"I see your boyfriend is safe," my mom commented with a raised brow.

I laughed nervously as I started fidgeting in place. "Yeah.... That was his sister in-law and my best friend, Naina," I replied and for the first time in life...I blushed.

"Ami jani tui amake mittha kotha bolesish kono bishoye. Sotti kotha ta ki? Koto din dhore cholse ai shob?" my mom asked me sternly. (I know you lied to me about something. What is the truth? How long has this been going on?)

My step father was watching the game sitting beside her till now. He turned the TV off and turned to me. "What's going on, kiddo? Don't think I didn't notice how you changed. You act like a defense officer now-a-days. Share with us. We're all adult here after all," he said warmly.

I sat on the bed and pouted up at my parents. "Okay fine. You win.. but you have to promise me you won't send me to Pabna Mental asylum," I pleaded.

At my request, my parents looked amused. "Go on," my mom urged.

So, I told them everything. Well... not the parts where I had sex with Aalekh in several 'not so normal and unusual' places. I also didn't tell them about any normal or usual placed we had sex on. I had to give them credits. None of them looked at me like I was crazy. "I can give you proof," I ended.

"We would like to see those proofs first before we comment on anything," My step father told me as my mom looked at me with an angry expression.

"Uh...so I'll...just be on the...other room," I replied before I ran out of the room. My mom looked pissed. I took my phone and dialed Naina's number. Now that I knew that I was in the same universe as them, I didn't hesitate to call.

"To yaad agaya tujhe meri number?" Naina teased answering the phone.

"I didn't know I was in the same universe. Otherwise, I would've jumped the borders of our countries to get home," I told her in a sulky tone.

"Uski zaroorat nehi paregi. Hum barat leke ayenge tujhe lene... You deserve to have a wedding that includes your whole family," she told me patiently.

"Thanks, yaar. Oh, jis wazase maine tujhe phone kiye... Naina, maine apni parents ko saab kuch bata diya," I shared.

"The jhut wala 'saab kuch' ya phir sach wala 'saab kuch'?" Naina teased.

"Sach wala saab kuch. I guess tune meri diary pari?" I asked, snickering.

"Sirf maine nehi, baki saab ne bhi pari. Tu wapas aa phir tujhe maza chakhaungi," Naina threatened mockingly.

I giggled. "Anyways, mujhe humari pictures bhejna, yaar. Mujhe meri parents ko dikhana hai,"

"Tera email bata. Main abhi bhej ti hu," Naina assured.

I told her my email id and in 5 minutes, I had our pictures. "Thanks, yaar. Ha, ye meri personal phone number hai. Sabko de dena. Aur please, bachcho ki dhyan rakhna," I requested.

"Ye bhi koi puchne wali baat hai, paagal. We'll take care of them," she assured.

"Thanks," and I hung up. I took my phone to my mom's bedroom and showed my parents the pictures.

After looking at my pictures from the academy, my wedding, and the hospital after the delivery, my parents had a hard time not being convinced. What my mom did afterwards was not something I expected. She took the jharu and started beating me with it.
