Aalekh was not a fool. He knew what Lala's death meant. He kept his eyes on his wife as Rehnuma had been lost in thought several times throughout the next few days. She also looked teary eyed multiple times whenever she thought he wasn't looking. She kept giving him sad smiles and sighed sadly. It was breaking his heart.

Not that he was being much better than her anyway. He was also doing those same things she had been doing. Super six had noticed the couple's weird behavior but none of them knew what that meant.

"Sir ji, ye sirf hume lag raha hai ya phir ye Paagal aur Paagal ke pati dono ajeeb bartab kar raha hai," Huda asked Rajveer during their drill. Rajveer was going to stay until the first year cadets took their final exam.

"I thought I was imagining that. What's wrong with those two? They haven't been caught making out in the last few days," Rajveer commented frowning.

"Suniye, aap baat karke dekhiye na Aalekh se. Shayed apko kuch bata de," Naina requested hopefully. Pooja, Ali, and Yudi nodded in agreement.

Glancing at the worried faces of the five of the super six, he nodded. "Thik hai. jake Aalekh ko bolo ki maine bulaya hai mere room me," he told Ali. "Naina, tum aur Cadet Ghai Cadet Islam se baat karo," he told the girls.

Aalekh knocked before entering Rajveer's room. "Apun ko bulaya, sir?' he asked.

Rajveer was working on his laptop. He looked up and smiled. "Apne chhote bhai se baate karne ki mann kar raha tha. Isiliye bulaya. Ayo baitho," he said gesturing towards the couch.

Nodding, Aalekh closed the door behind him and took a seat on the couch. "Puchho, bhai, kya puchhna chahte ho," he stated bluntly.

Rajveer laughed awkwardly. "Aalekh baba ko sab pata chal jata hai," he said with a shrug. "Wo... hum sabne notice kiya... tum aur Rehnuma dono hi pichle kuch dino se upset ho kisi baat ko leke. Is everything okay?" he asked.

"Bhai wo..." Aalekh sighed sadly, "Rehnuma... kisi waza se pareshan hai. Isiliye apun bhi pareshan hai," he confessed.

"Kyu pareshan hai wo? Share kar sakte ho ya phir koi personal baat hai?" Rajveer asked, curiously.

"Baat personal hai jo... apun share nehi kar sakta," Aalekh gave him an apologetic look.

I was standing by the window of my hostel room, looking out the window absentmindedly. I felt like there was a heavy weight on my chest. 'Kya cancer patients bhi aise hi feel karte honge? Just waiting for their impending, inevitable death?' I wondered.

"Ya Allah, apne bohot kuch diya hai mujhe. More than I could even imagine. Isliye apse aur kuch mangne ki himmat nehi kar parahi hu. Kaise itna selfish banjau aur apse aur kuch mangu? Par kya mujhe aur thora waqt mil sakta hai? Please?" I said aloud looking up towards the sky. I exhaled sadly as tears rolled down my cheeks.
