Chapter 12: Gay parents, straight problems

 Now, 12 years later Matt and Josh were almost in the middle of their 30s meaning they were now 34 years old and Wyatt has begun his preteen years now being 13 years old. For Wyatt,  his family situation has never been something he was worried about nor something he would brag about. For him, it was normal to see 2 dads instead of a mom and a dad because most of his friends as a baby or as a toddler and even as a kid had bi dads who were with men or just straight-up gay dads but this all changed in the first day of 6th grade which meant he was going into middle school. On the first day of school assembly, almost everyone came with their mom and dad or just their mom, and only one girl came with her 2 moms. Wyatt began trying to fit in but as of that day, everyone knew his dads because Josh became a famous businessman, and of course because he was famous everyone knew his husband as well. Whenever Wyatt would go up to kids and tried to make friends everyone would push him away saying they don't want his family 'mental illness' or 'disease'. The first class started and he sat next to a beautiful girl. Her name was Noelle and she was the girl she saw in the schoolyard with her 2 moms. He introduced himself and before you know it the 2 became almost inseparable. When the first class was over they went outside to chat a bit more:                                                                                                                            - So, when did your dads get you?                                                                                                                                  - By got me you mean-                                                                                                                                                          - Adopted you.                                                                                                                                                                         - I'm not really sure I think I was around 2 months old. How about your moms?                                       - When I was 4.                                                                                                                                                                         - Do you know anything about your biological parents?                                                                                       - All I know is that they didn't give up on me because they didn't want me, actually, my real mom couldn't have kids but when she couldn't pregnant, my dad Josh asked if him and dad Matt could have me because they were rejected for adoption once and they accepted. What do u know about yours?                                                                                                                                                                - Not much, all I know is that I was the result of a rape and my dad went to prison for sexual assault and my mom died from a cocaine overdose 2 hours after she gave birth to me                         - Ouch, I'm sorry                                                                                                                                                                     - Nah dude, it's fine, its actually quite fun living with 2 moms. We are all organized, we can share clothes, we can all go shopping as a family. But how is it living with guys?                                                  - Pretty much the same, except for the fact that we don't go shopping, we are pretty messy but we sometimes share clothes.                                                                                                                                            After 10 minutes which for the 2 seemed like a second the bell rang and they had to go their own classes because they were only sharing a class when they had English class. As Wyatt was going up the stairs he kept thinking about Noelle. Everyone that saw them talking said they totally had a connection but he didn't give it much thought. As the days went by his friends' words started getting to him more and more.  One day they went out just the 2 of them without their group of friends for the first time. Don't get it wrong, it wasn't a date, however, they were all dressed up and Wyatt even brought Noelle flowers. The 2 went to a movie. They held hands, cuddled but still, IT WASN'T A DATE! Meanwhile, Matt and Josh were on an actual date after 3 months. At the end of their (not) date Wyatt took Noelle home, hugged her and then he went up closer, they looked into each other's eyes and just as they were about to kiss Matt and Josh passed by Noelle's house and as any dad would do they went up to the 2 kids and started saying how cute they are together and not only that, they started telling stories from when Wyatt was little and all the embarrassing things he had done over the years. When Wyatt was embarrassed enough he took them by the hand and said he wanted to go home. When they got home Wyatt told his parents how humiliated he felt and that Noelle wasn't just a friend but was a girl she wanted to impress. Then he went to his room slammed the door locked it and didn't come back till the next morning. The next morning he came back and Matt asked him:                                                             - Still upset big guy?                                                                                                                                                              - Well, let's see, last night I had the best evening of my life with my very first serious crush until you and dad Josh came to ruin it. So yeah, id say I'm not that over it yet.                                                   - Oh come on, we were trying to help.                                                                                                                          - By telling her about the time I stuck my pee-pee inside the vacuum hole and then turned it on? - If you think about it, that's mostly your fault.                                                                                                         - Forget it, what's for breakfast?                                                                                                                                       - Scrambled eggs.                                                                                                                                                                  - Great, but where's dad Josh?                                                                                                                                         - Still sleeping, he's pretty tired from-                                                                                                                           - Don't wanna know.                                                                                                                                                             - Okay, you want me to drive you to school?                                                                                                              - No, I'm meeting  Noelle after breakfast and we're going together                                                                 - Is she coming here or you guys meeting somewhere?                                                                                        - We're definitely meeting somewhere                                                                                                                          Wyatt finished eating, took his bag pack and jacket, and then went on his way to Noelle's house to pick her up so the 2 could go to school together as planned. He wanted to apologize for all his parents told her about and making her feel uncomfortable so he got her favorite snack. He got to her house picked her up. Wyatt gave Noelle what he bought her and said:                                                 - Sorry about yesterday.                                                                                                                                                      - Why?                                                                                                                                                                                          - My dads and the vacuum story.                                                                                                                                    - Oh come on, your dads are hilarious.                                                                                                                         - I almost lost my pee-pee cause of that vacuum.                                                                                                    - Would it really have been that big of a loss?                                                                                                            - You're terrible!                                                                                                                                                                      - Yet you still love me                                                                                                                                                            -  I do...                                                                                                                                                                                         -Wyatt l-                                                                                                                                                                                      Before Noelle could even finish her sentence Wyatt gently grabbed her face and kissed her. The kiss seemed endless. Sadly, their first kiss (as a couple and as individuals) ended after only a few seconds. To say that Noelle was pleased and stunned about the kiss would be an understatement. When the 2 parted lips Wyatt said:                                                                                              - l love you, princess!                                                                                                                                                            - I love you too, my prince!                                                                                                                                                 After this magical moment, Noelle and Wyatt continued their way to school like nothing happened only this time they were holding hands. After 2 more minutes of walking, they arrived at school but it was quite silent and no one seemed to be there. They still went in but the door to their classroom wouldn't open. After trying to open it a few more times they noticed a note that a note seemed to have unglued from the door, and it said that classes were suspended that day. Noelle and Wyatt were of course happier than ever cause they weren't gonna be sharing any classes that day. They spent the whole day together by going to get ice cream and going to the park. After a few hours Matt called Wyatt:                                                                                                                   - Hey buddy, haven't you finished school yet?                                                                                                           - Oh, hi dad, actually we didn't go to school, classes got suspended, I am at the park with Noelle, do I really have to come home?                                                                                                                                        - Well, what time it is?                                                                                                                                                           - It's 15:00                                                                                                                                                                                   - In this case, you don't have to come home right away but make sure you make it home before dinner                                                                                                                                                                                          - What time are we having dinner?                                                                                                                                 - 19:00.                                                                                                                                                                                         - Okay, ill be back at 18:30.                                                                                                                                                 - Perfect. Love you buddy.                                                                                                                                                  - Love you too dad, and tell dad Josh I love him.                                                                                                     - I will have fun. Bye.                                                                                                                                                             - Thank you, I will. Bye.                                                                                                                                                        Wyatt went back on the playground and Noelle asked him:                                                                              -  Do you have to go home?                                                                                                                                              - Not now, I can stay for a few more hours.                                                                                                                - Oh great, but I'm pretty bored of playing in the park. Would you like to come over to my place? My parents aren't home                                                                                                                                            - Your place, alone? I mean-                                                                                                                                           Before Wyatt could even answer Noelle took him by the hand and without realizing he was already at her doorstep. They went in and up to Noelle's room. As the 2 were approaching Noelle's room  Wyatt seemed to be less and less resentful about the idea of spending a few hours alone with his girlfriend. She got her computer a few next and some orange juice and they started watching Noelle's favorite show, Pretty Little Liars which she had seen 5 times at the moment. They were cuddling and watching the show and Noelle was holding her glass of juice but when she sat up to drink she spilled the juice all over Wyatt's shirt:                                                       - Oh, I'm sorry!                                                                                                                                                                        - It's okay baby.                                                                                                                                                                       After reassuring his girlfriend that he wasn't upset about the shirt he got up, took it off and Noelle was staring at him, he noticed that and asked:                                                                                          - Is everything ok?                                                                                                                                                                  - Yeah, I was just thinking how much I love your-                                                                                                     - My..?                                                                                                                                                                                          - I meant you, how much I love you                                                                                                                                - I love you too!                                                                                                                                                                        He gave her a quick kiss and put his shirt to dry on the radiator so to dry it and went back to bed next to Noelle and she put her arms around his nicely toned body due to the junior gym he has been attending the last 5 months. She couldn't help but say something about it:                                  - I see you got quite some structure                                                                                                                               - I wanted to impress you.                                                                                                                                                  - How did you know we were gonna end up in this kind of situation?                                                            - I wasn't thinking about this scenario but I figure I'd-                                                                                           - Get the chance to take your shirt off in front of me?                                                                                             - I wasn't really thinking about the shirt.                                                                                                                     - What were you thinking about?                                                                                                                                     Wyatt's answer fits the situation perfectly. He kissed his girlfriend with a burning passion:                - I like where this is going, said Noelle with a smile in the corner of her mouth.                                        - I had some ideas for these few hours but that smile completely changes my plans                              - What are your plans now?                                                                                                                                                - I don't really like your shirt.                                                                                                                                            - Should I take it off? Asked Noelle sarcastically as she started to take her top off                                   - That sounds and looks amazing..but...                                                                  -                                                   - What? have I done something wrong?                                                                                                                        - No, but I'm not crazy about the pants either                                                                                                           - Why don't you take them off yourself? Asked Noelle while spreading her legs to help the process                                                                                                                                                                                        - I might as well just do it. Said Wyatt while slowly taking off his girlfriend's pants and kissing her soft lips.                                                                                                                                                                                      - Oh, baby, I love you so much!                                                                                                                                         - Don't you think you'd love me more if you'd be more comfortable?                                                            - Maybe but, how will that happen?                                                                                                                               -  Well, maybe this could help. Wyatt responded while mischievously smiling and reaching for Noelle's underwear and slowly taking them off                                                                                                        - It does help but wouldn't it be fair you take yours off as well?                                                                        Wyatt got up and for Noelle time seemed to have slowed down as she watched her boyfriend take his pants and underwear off. She was trying to stop herself from drooling:                                      - Come here, big boy                                                                                                                                                             Wyatt couldn't stop himself, he lied in bed next to his girlfriend and magic happened. They had 1 amazing hour together Wyatt had to go home. As he was walking home he put his hands in his pocket and discovered a condom. That's when he realized he didn't have one on during everything. He went home and didn't say anything to his dad but a few hours later he called Noelle and told her to get a pregnancy test as soon as possible because it has already been a few hours since it happened things could've already evolved. When he called her she luckily ( or not) already took one and the results came back just as Wyatt called. When he called she started crying and he asked:                                                                                                                                                            - Whar's wrong baby?                                                                                                                                                          - THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! I NEVER WANNA SEE YOU AGAIN! YOU RUINED MY LIFE YOU PIECE OF CRAP! WE'RE OVER!                                                                                                                                                              He just hung up threw his phone to the wall and started crying and throwing things around the room in anger. Josh and Matt heard everything and tried to get in Wyatt's room but he put his nightstand against the door so no one could get in. Matt and Josh tried to go in the whole night but with no success. The next morning Wyatt came out of his room like nothing even happened and Josh tried to ask his son about what happened the night before without seeming like they listened to it:                                                                                                                                                                            - Is everything okay? We heard some noises from your room last night.                                                       - Yeah, I'm fine. Wyatt responded with no further explications                                                                          - You sure?                                                                                                                                                                                 - YES! If you heard something just ask, no need to hide.                                                                                       - We heard you talking to someone yesterday, was it, Noelle?                                                                          - Yes, she...she..                                                                                                                                                                       - What's wrong buddy? You can tell us                                                                                                                          - She's pregnant!                                                                                                                                                                     - For how long have you known?                                                                                                                                     - I just found out yesterday ..                                                                                                                                             - And what is she planning to do with the baby?                                                                                                      - She didn't wanna tell me.                                                                                                                                                After this rather complicated conversation, Wyatt went to school, where he met Noelle and he went up to her:                                                                                                                                                                        - Baby, we really need to talk.                                                                                                                                           - First of all, im not your baby and second we already talked about everything we could ever talk about.                                                                                                                                                                                          - What about the baby?                                                                                                                                                        - Im just gonna raise it alone.                                                                                                                                            - Why alone?                                                                                                                                                                             - Because you can do so much better and i have to deal with my mistakes alone                                     - Maybe it wasn't a mistake.                                                                                                                                               - What do you mean?                                                                                                                                                            - Maybe it wasn't really a coincidence that we weren't protected.                                                                   - I still dont get it.                                                                                                                                                                    - Im saying you don't have to raise the baby alone                                                                                                 - But, you can do so much better.                                                                                                                                    - I don't want better, i want you, and i want OUR baby..
