15. Selfish

Jackson and I stormed the doors of the hospital. We looked around until Jackson pointed towards a crying Kessa. We both ran towards her.

"How did this happen?". I asked her rather harshly.

"We were at one of your dad's clubs. When masked men wearing suits came in and started raining bullets. We were both in the VIP area hiding under a table. But one of the men came and shot Tessa saying something about it being their boss's request".

"Request?"

"That means it was an assassination". Jackson said.

"But who could have done this. As far as I know you guys don't have enemies"

"What kind of masks exactly?" Jackson asked. We both knew she was in alot of pain but we both just don't know how to stop and cry. At least not anymore.

"It was a mouse kinda mask. It only covered their eyes". Kessa said clearly holding back tears

"The Garcias". Jackson said.

"What do you mean Garcias"

"A couple of years ago the Garcias went on a trend, where they would wear mouse masks on special missions"

"But Pablo Garcia is sick. That means the one who ordered it was..". I couldn't bring myself to say it out. Theo could never go after my friends.

Why on Earth would he have done this, what exactly did they do to him.

"Don't jump into conclusions Alexa. It might just be someone who wants to pin the blame on him"

"There's no way that could be true. All the evidence points towards him. And I swear to God I'll make Theo pay. I'll make him suffer to the point that he doesn't even want to breathe anymore"

I stormed out of the hospital without even saying goodbye. I ordered the guards to take me back home. I wasn't actually gonna go home. I was going to see Theo.

The moment I stepped out of the car I went straight to Theo's house. I rang the doorbell vigorously like I was about to pop it.

A maid opened up for me and before she could say a word I barged right in. "Where the fuck your boss"

"What happened love". Theo said from the stairs.

"You know what. You're really something aren't you. When I thought that I could trust you again, you went and did this"

"Did what baby". He said while placing a hand on my shoulder but I brushed it off.

"So you really wanna play dumb huh?, Alright then just tell me why you had Tessa killed"

"Tessa? Isn't she your friend. Why would I get her killed"

"Theo, Theo, Theo!! Could you stop lying for once in your life. Because of this I hate you even more."

"Hold up I'm telling you I didn't do anything". He was still trying to defend his guilty ass.

"I know you're the head of the Garcias now but you don't need to carry on the grudge they have against my family. Do you know how much I've been hurt by them. By you. And you go ahead and kill one of my best friends"

"You know what Alexandria. You can say alot of bad things to me but stop calling me a liar. Yes I'm a murderer, yes I run a mafia, yes I'm not a generally good person but I'm not a liar and you know that". Now his expression had changed.

"Just stop lying. Why do you always have to come into my life and cause me pain"

"Okay maybe my love for you blinded me, but honestly speaking now Alexa. You're selfish. You only care about your happiness, your sorrow. Have you ever stopped and wondered what exactly your existence had taken away from my life. Still I love you like there's no tomorrow, like life's worthless without loving you"

"Then stop loving me. It's clear that love isn't the emotion that suits us"

"Fine then. Before now I've been a lot in your life. A neighbor, a friend, boyfriend, support but from this point all that's gone. From now on you'll get what you want. You'll see the side of me I've kept hidden from you"

"Just know this. Everything good between us is gone Theo"

"Alright. Get out". He said pointing at the door.

I walked out of his house feeling a butt load of emotions. I had no idea how I was supposed to feel.

The man who killed Tessa just broke everything good we had between us. I should be happy right. I know he killed her but why do I feel like he didn't.

Did I really accuse the wrong person. Everything Theo told me made me realize that I was really selfish. I only ever saw what was taken from me.

Enough about Theo, he hates me now. And it's for the best right.

Both the Hernandez and the Garcias have been at war for ever now, but the reason is still blank to most.

When I got home I went to my dad's office. Axel was with him.

"Dad what happened between us and the Garcias". My dad looked shocked at the question.

"You really want to know. Even Axel never asked that question"

"Dad tell me please. I can't just hate people and I don't know why"

"Alright" he paused then continued "your great grandmother aka my grandmother Anastasia Hernandez and Pablo's Garcias grandfather Arturo Garcia are the ones responsible for the war that went on for generations"
