Carla

Cole and I kept on driving for what felt like hours until he finally stopped.

We were at an open field, it stretched out for miles. And I have to admit the view was breath taking.

Speaking of views when I looked over to the driver's seat Cole wasn't there, he was waiting for me to finish taking in the view so he could open the door for me.

When I got down, Cole kept on walking until the car looked like it was just a little spec from where we stood.

"Why did you bring me here?". I asked him.

"To be you". He responded which only made me confused.

"What do you mean be me"

"You're going through stuff right now. And no one else could understand more than you. So just be yourself. If you want to scream, scream. If you want to cry, cry. If you want to run around silly, just do it. Don't hold anything back, here no one could judge you".

Something about his words just calmed me down. It was nice having someone who didn't have their own opinion about my actions.

I decided to sit on the grass and just stare at the horizon. Cole sat right next to me. For a couple of minutes we both just sat there quietly. No one uttered a word. But the silence felt comfortable. It felt safe.

I've never really seen this side of Cole before not even when we were together. Back then all he cared about was being the hottest guy at school. He was the hottest until Theo showed up.

Thinking back to high school I remember how much of a dick Cole was. The Cole I knew is worlds apart from the guy sitting next to me.

"Kessa said it was my fault". I spat out. I just felt safe around him.

"Why".

"It's because some rival did this. Probably to get back at me or maybe my brother"

"Then it isn't your fault"

"That doesn't change what Kessa thinks about me"

"Kessa's hurting now, she's bound to find someone to blame. It's all part of the grief. You'll see in no time you'll be besties again"

"You really think so". I tilted my head to look at him. His skin glittered in the sun and his expression was honest, it makes me wonder if he's the same guy I dated for six months.

"I don't think so. I know so". He gave me a smile telling me it's all gonna be okay.

"Enough with all this. Let's do something". He got up and extended his hand to me.

I grabbed it then he helped me up."Do what exactly". I asked him.

"It may not be fun for you but today we're gonna draw something".

"Draw?!"

"Yes draw. And I know you're terrible at art but it doesn't matter".

He ran to the car and came back with two note pads and some pencils. Cole has always been an artist so there's no surprise he had these just laying in the car.

"Alright look straight ahead and draw what you see". He told me then I nodded my head.

A couple of minutes later I was done. And I have to admit I underestimated my lack of skill. Things like this make me wonder how I'll get married in the future. I'm a terrible artist and an even worst cook. I wonder what I'll teach my kids.

"Alright let me see". Cole said extending his hand for me to hand it over.

"There's no need for that"

"No way. I wanna see". He dragged it right out of my hand then he made a run for it.

I got up and chased after him. When I caught up with him he lifted the note pad above his head making fun of how short I was. Or was he just really tall.

"Give it to me Cole". I said still jumping around trying to grab it.

"Just let me see then I'll give it back to you"

"No way am I letting you see that"

"Just let me see so we can get going. It's about to rain"

"I don't care about the dumb rain just give it back".

Cole escaped from my grip on his shirt then he started running again. Suddenly without any warning it started to rain.

Cole and I didn't notice the rain because we kept on running around.

When I caught up with him I miss a step so I fell right on top of him. We were both frozed in place. He kept staring at me and I did the same. Well until I decided to ruin the moment.

"Umm... It's getting late I think we should get going"

"Yeah we should".

"Yes definitely. Let's go"

"You should get off me first". Omg I was still on top of him. I quickly got up and realized I was drenched and so was Cole.

We both ran towards the car. Still with all the rain Cole opened the door for me before he got in.

Cole had some spare clothes in the car. More like two tee shirts but it was better than nothing.

Cole got down from the car and waited for me to change before he got back in. He took off his wet shirt. And holy crap. That body. I definitely don't remember him being this sexy. Then again he just had to put a shirt on.

"You can stop drooling now Hernandez". Omg he saw me.

"I wasn't drooling". I couldn't even say that with a straight face. The ride back home was quit fun. I played around with the radio and cole sang. Horribly if I might add. Part of me didn't want this moment to end. Yet it had to.

I got back home and changed into my PJs before I went over to Axel's room. It's been a while since we had a chat.

I walked into his room and I saw beer bottles everywhere. The room was a wreck. And Axel was sitting in the middle of it all with a bottle of whiskey in his hand and he looked like a mess.

"What happened Ax". I said as I walked towards him.

He looked up at me and I saw worry and sadness in his eyes. "Tracy's pregnant".
