Salazar
I was early at the hospital because of my surgery with Maggie. I didn't expect Elisha to be as early as me.
Yakult. Nangiti at kinuha sa kanya ang Yakult.
"I prayed with Maggie," she replied.
"Hindi ka nakatulog ano? Nangingitim na ang ilalim ng mata mo."
Hindi siya kumilos. She just stare at me which made me conscious.
"I need to talk to Elisha... can you wait for me after my surgery?"
"Tungkol saan?"
"Basta—" Tungkol sa panliligaw ko sana.
"Okay," she answered.
"Good. I need to go. Please pray for me."
"Always," maikling sagot niya.
Inabot ko sa kanya ang bag ko but she didn't take it. Instead, she went in front of me and embraced me.
"Have faith," she murmured.
I embraced her back and smell her hair.
"Don't ever lose it."
"As much as I like holding you, Elisha, Maggie needs to be operated so she can be a good doctor someday. Can we continue later?"
"At bakit nakangiti?
Doc. Chan and Doc Maricar were staring at me.
Maricar. "Nakakahiya kasi, madalang ma-exercise ang facial tissue mo."
"Ang sama n'yo," I murmured that made them laugh.
"Let us pray," I said that made their eyes smile.
So we prayed before the operation.
"Scalpel," I asked after and the operation for Maggie begins.
"In love nga kasi," biro ni Doc. Chan.
"Oo na. Pakicheck ang BP," utos ko.
"Shit, oo daw," Maricar commented that made my chuckled.
"Under observation pa si Maggie, but good job team."
"Paging Doctor Salazar, please proceed to the operating room. Doctor Salazar, to the operating room please."
"Shit," I murmured and run towards the operating room.
I found my team at the operating room with grim faces.
"Ano ang nangyari?" tanong ko sa kanila.
Walang kumikibo sa kanila. Si Doc. Chan ay nagrerevive ng pasyente sa table.
"250 joules," sabi nito.
"Doc. Sal, tulong," tawag ni Doc. Maricar sa akin. I immediately went besides them but stopped when I saw who's at the table.
"Elisha?"
"Blood pressure is dropping," someone said.
Nagkakagulo na sila kay Elisha while when was stunned.
Have faith.
Have faith.
"Elisha—" I called her.
"Doc.
Chan.
"Elsiha, come on—" I murmured.
Don't do this.
"Car Accident, Doc. Sal.
Chan.
"They have same condition ni Mira. We need to operate her."
Elisha's pulse steadied after a while.
Don't ever lose your faith.
Have faith.
Have faith.
"Doc., we need to operate her now—"
"Doc. Sal.—"
"Doc." someone tapped my cheek to bring me back. "Focus Doc. Sal., Elisha needs you."
Tinulungan nila akong tumayo and the nurses changes my gloves while I am staring at Elisha.
"You have to make it," I whispered but didn't expect an aswer.
"Have faith—"
I close my eyes and asked for His help.
"Your will be done," I said before I open my eyes.
"Scalpel—"
For the second time, Elisha is in my table. And for the second time, I am operating someone close to my heart. This time, I am scared more than anything but a small voice keep whispering in my ear. Have faith.
So will of me, I operate Elisha with faith.
