She's full of clothes but everybody stops to stare at her. She looks glowing.
"You made me speechless," I said.
"Your wings look real," Doc. Chan commented.
"I earned it," sagot ni Elisha at saka ngumiti.
And I don't want the world to see me. Cause I don't think that they've understand.
The music is still in our background and my urge to dance her is too real that I need to fight it.
"Thank you," nahihiyang sagot ni Elisha.
They look at each other and they gave Elisha a knowing smile.
The party started and some groups that will perform started to perform.
Elisha laughs during her friends' performance and I can't stop looking at her.
It was past midnight when she excused herself from our group.
"Samahan kita?"
"Wala Doc. 'Yong bag niya nasa kwarto sa hotel."
"Sige, hahanapin ko si Elisha," I told her.
Something is telling me that she's here. I just need to find her.
I knew in my heart that I will find her there.
Tahimik ang chapel dahil madaling araw na. Nagcheck in na karamihan sa mga kasamahan namin, but here I am, still in my costume looking for that beautiful angel.
"Elisha?"
She look sad.
"Why do you look sad?" tanong ko kay Elisha.
"I miss my wings," sagot nito na ikinangiti ko. "Kinuha na sa akin."
"You can't wear it every day."
Tumango si Elisha at tumingin sa altar.
"Doc. Sal, when the time comes that the Lord tested you again, learn to trust on Him, and don't lose your faith."
"What do you mean?" naguguluhang tanong ko.
"Have faith, Doc. Sal." She holds both of my hands and looks straight to my eyes— to my soul. "Have faith."
"I do have faith," mahinang sagot ko.
Huminga siya ng malalim at nag-sign of the cross.
"What? Paano ka pang matutulog n'yan? Umaga na."
"You don't need to come to the hospital tomorrow."
Ngumiti si Elisha. "Wala kang kasama. After lunch na ako pupunta. Alam kong maghahanda ka para kay Maggie. I want to be there."
"Okay. Let me change this costume and I will take you home. Or gusto mong magcheck in na rin para makapagpahinga ka na?"
"I will take a taxi na lang Doc."
Umling ako ng mabilis. "No," tanggi ko. "Ihahatid kita."
"Much better.
"I doubt that.
Have faith.
Have faith.
I didn't know why or how I came to the chapel but I found myself sitting at the same spot Elisha seated earlier.
"Lord," I started to call Him. "Here I am in front of you. Is it too much if I ask her hand? Lead me to the correct path so I can be worthy for Elisha," I murmured.
Have faith. I don't know why it played in my head. Have faith... is that an answer?
