"Centuries after Qetsiyah died, there were these miners who were excavating a well on the island. Suddenly went mad. They bled themselves dry. No apparent reason. So, the legend spread that these miners, in exchange for a drop of their blood, saw visions of their lost loved ones in the well they were digging. The word traveled and explorers sought out the well to see if the legend was true." Shane explained. "So, the well was magic?" Bonnie questioned. "Well, you know, some people believe the voices of lost souls were just a wind vortex whipping through the caves and visions were caused by inhaling the island's poisonous plant life," Shane replied. "And what do you believe?"
"I believe in magic. My wife and my son died within months of each other. And so...I decided to try the well out for myself. I offered up my blood and waited. I saw my wife. I saw her eyes, her smile. My blood let me see her again." Shane explained with a smile. "Yeah, got it. Don't eat the poisonous flowers." Damon sighed.
"Wait. Stop. Stop! Stop. Is everybody paying attention?" He picked up a large rock. "Our first lesson in survival." He threw the rock and it triggered a net trap that swung up into the trees. "Stay together. Keep your eyes open."
-We arrived at a clearing. "According to island lore, a group of college kids came here for spring break. A few weeks later, they were all found dead, completely drained of blood." Shane said. "Well, tragic for them, brilliant for us. Who sleeps where?" Rebekah looked around. We all chose places around to camp for the night.
Rebekah and Stefan were by the fire, Elena and Damon just finished a makeout session and separated to god know where, Bonnie and the mentor were talking with Jeremy, and I just stood there in the distance watching. "What an observer." Someone said behind me. I recognized the voice as Damon's. "Yeah well, what else am I supposed to do? Talk to a tree?" I scoffed sarcastically.
"They're actually pretty polite." Damon shrugged. "Yeah yeah. Whatever makes you happy. I'm going on a little walk to find this dude that almost killed Jeremy." I got up. "Are you stupid?" He stood up as well. "We'll go in the morning. Go watch over Jeremy and stay here." Damon instructed. "Yes sir," I muttered sarcastically. I got up and went into Jeremy's tent.
Eventually, the noise died down and Jeremy joined me. We didn't speak. He was quick to go to sleep. I looked down at him sadly. He's just a kid. I laid down tried to fall asleep when someone unzipped the tent. "Stefan?"
I was about to turn around when a hand cupped over my mouth with what must have been a herb on it. I blacked out.
-I woke up with someone shaking me. "Someone drugged her." A lady said. I looked up at Stefan and Bonnie. "Jeremy!" I looked around. "He's gone. We have no clue where he went." Bonnie told me. Fuck. "Come on, let's catch up with the Rebekah and Elena. They're looking for him." Stefan got up and grabbed my hand. I rose to my feet and clenched my head. Bonnie handed me a blood bag.
"Thank you, Bonnie." I uncapped it and Stefan grabbed my hand. "Are you okay? Can you run? Are you sure you wanna go?" He asked. "I'm okay," I promised, downing the bag. "Okay. Be careful out here, Bonnie." He told her. She nodded and we sped towards the girls. He quickly released my hand and stood beside Rebekah. "How could you let him--" Elena began shouting.
"Why don't you have someone force some witch-weed up your nose and see how easy it is to stay conscious, Gilbert?" I replied before she finished. "She was drugged up. It isn't her fault. Can we just find him?" Stefan defended. Elena glared at me and began yelling for Jeremy. "Why don't you yell louder? Maybe we haven't drawn enough attention to ourselves already." Rebekah scowled. "I'm sorry, how have you been helping?"
They went back and forth so much that Elena tripped over some tripwire and Rebekah had to save her ass from being impaled. It was entertaining but scared Elena so she left. Now I was the third wheel. Great.
