The Past

(After School, Okumura Residence)

A week had passed since the incident with Mr. Okumura; a day after the press conference, Mr. Okumura was proclaimed dead by Mental Shutdown, and the blame was shifted on the Phantom Thieves; police came by Shujin Academy to question the students, even a bounty was put on the Phantom Thieves' heads; with all the commotion going around, the Phantom Thieves decided through text to lie low for awhile; soon, almost everyone was living a normal life, to avoid suspicion; Akira helped Sojiro out at Leblanc as Futaba stayed at home, looking into what happened; Ann worked with modeling as Ryuji went to the gym to train; Yusuke stayed at his schools dorm as Makoto ended up staying at home due to her sister's request, studying; Haru stayed at home, with what happened to her father, the others couldn't help but worry about her; and Luna, with nothing to do, paid Haru a visit; as she was let in, she was brought to Haru's room, where Haru sat at the end of her bed, a sad look on her face, Luna knocked on the open door, in which Haru turned towards the door to see her.

"Luna-chan, come in... I didn't know you were coming", Haru greeted as Luna entered the room and sat down by Haru.

"I came to check up on you, everyone's worried about you", Luna stated

"I'm fine", Haru said but Luna saw through her lie

"Haru... your not fine, believe me, I was in the same state back then", Luna said as Haru sighed, "do you wanna talk about it",

"I'm not sure about a lot of things", Haru explained, "I only wanted to change my father's heart, make him better, but now, with what happened, a part of me feels lost",

"I feel you, as I said, I was in the same situation as you", Luna stated as Haru turned her head towards Luna

"I've never heard anything about your past, is it alright if you tell me", Haru asked in a gentle tone,

"Yeah, get comfortable, it might be long", Luna stated which made Haru laugh, "it started a couple months ago, before I came here, my parents and I were on our way home"

(Couple Months Ago, ???) (A/n- name of hometown, not given)

"So, kiddo, how was tonight", Luna's Father asked, due to the darkness outside, he kept his eyes on the road as he drove

"It was fun", Luna stated with a smile as she looked out the car window

"Honey, look out", Luna's Mother shouted; Luna quickly snapped her head towards the front of the car, to see another car swerving along the road; not a second later, the cars collided.

"I had passed out for what seemed to be either a minute or a second, I'm not too sure about it... but a part of me wished I didn't wake up"

Luna slowly opened her eyes, she ended up coughing as smoke filled the car; quickly taking off her seatbelt, her eyes widened in horror as she saw her parents in the front seat, dead; a fire had started in between the two cars, the fire had unfortunately reached her parents, and slowly growing towards the backseat, where Luna was.

"I gotta get outta here", Luna mumbled, tears in her vision, she crawled over to one of the backseat doors and kicked it open; she slid out and began crawling away from the burning vehicle; she reached the middle of the street, keeping her crawling pace as she tried to make it to the other side; a car door soon opened, which caused Luna to stop and turn her head, from the other car, a man opened another backseat door and stumbled out of the car, and to the other side of the road; Luna could tell that the man was as drunk as a skunk.

"I saw his face, but it's been awhile since the incident, so I don't remember... but if I saw a picture, I'll be able to remember"

The drunk man turned around for a brief period of time, it was enough time for Luna to see his face; he seemed to notice her but did nothing as he then ran off, Luna attempted to crawl again, but didn't have enough energy, making her pass out.

(Present Day, Okumura Residence)

"Luckily, someone found me and called it in, I woke up in the hospital a day later", Luna explained, "when I was released and returned home, I kinda shut myself out from everyone for awhile... I was kinda like Futaba",

"What happened after that", Haru asked, gentle tone still in her voice

"I had a frequent visitor... Akira and I lived in the same area, he'd stop by, even if I told him to go away, he'd stay", Luna stated, "I'm actually glad he did visit though",

"You were lost too, like me", Haru asked

"Something like that... I couldn't get the guy outta my head... I was upset, angry, and... a part of me wanted to make the guy pay for what he did", Luna said

"You wanted to kill him back then, didn't you", Haru asked as Luna nodded her head, "did anyone else know",

"Only you, Akira, and Futaba, she asked me during a sleepover", Luna said, "but only Akira knew of my grudge back then... it's gone now, so you won't have to worry",

"I see, then your Aunt and Uncle came to get you", Haru asked

"Well, they were more like, "we got you a train ticket, you're coming to our place to recover, don't miss that train, if you forget, or don't go on at all, we'll come and drag you to our place ourselves", Luna stated, mimicking her Uncle's voice in a funny way which made the two laugh

"Thank you Luna, for the chat, I feel a lot better now", Haru stated which made Luna smile at her

"Anytime", Luna said as the two girls hugged each other.
