Everyone gathered at Leblanc, Sojiro was still cleaning up around the place after what happened yesterday, the only person they were waiting for, was Sae; soon, the T.V. showed Shido, everyone gathered around and listened to what he had to say.
"My election is the result of every citizens aid, your support warms my heart... that is why... that is exactly why... I cannot forgive myself; the reason President Okumura passed away is... I am the one who killed him", Shido confessed, "I also manipulated the information that the Phantom Thieves were behind the series of incidents, the one who controlled the hearts of others and gave rise to the countless victims... is myself; it was all for my own promotion... for my selfish game, I even used people's lives as stepping stones in order to claim this country as my own ship; I am a true criminal that can be tried for any crime, and it still wouldn't be enough, I will confess everything; please, I beg everyone to pass judgement on me, if I could atone for all I've done with my life, I request that I be judged at once",
The broadcast was shut down and the T.V. was then shut off, the thieves grinning to each other in victory
"Mission accomplished", Futaba shouted as Sae walked in the Café
"I wouldn't celebrate just yet", Sae said as everyone turned their heads towards her, "I've looked into everything, as of Shido, he apparently tried to commit suicide in order to get rid of you guys",
"What about Akechi, did he make it out", Makoto asked
"All I know is that he took a couple days off, other than that, I'm not sure", Sae stated
"Anyway, what's going on with everyone else", Futaba asked
"The police are scrambling all over, with the broadcasted Calling Card, you guys really kicked the hornet's nest, they now plan to arrest", Sae explained as everyone in the café was shocked
"Do you know how long we have before this happens", Luna asked
"A few days was all they said", Sae stated
"There's only one way that we can avoid this, Mementos", Morgana said, "if we go to the heart of Mementos and take the treasure there, we can change the world; there is a cost however, if we do this... we'll be getting rid of the Metaverse",
"I don't think we have a choice in this", Ann stated
"It's our leader's call, either we start our final mission or we go to prison", Luna explained, "either way, our Phantom Thief lives will end, but we're still the Phantom Thieves, nothing can take that away",
"Luna-chan is right", Haru said
"Even if we are no longer the Phantom Thieves, I think I shall sketch all of us in our Phantom Thief gear", Yusuke stated
"We all at an unanimous vote", Futaba asked as everyone nodded their head
"Let's get rid of the Metaverse", Akira said as everyone cheered, and the Meta-Nav was activated one last time.
