We... Lost?

(Metaverse, Mementos)

The Phantom Thieves drove all the way down into the depths of Mementos; as they approached the end of the line, a massive door was in the way, the door leading to the heart of Mementos, and many people were going inside; as the thieves approached the door, the door opened which shocked the thieves.

"Wait, it opened already", Panther said in shock

"I'm getting a reading, the door only opens from this side", Oracle stated, "once you're in, you can't get out",

"People are choosing a life of imprisonment", Noir asked

"We have no choice but to go in", Joker said, "are you all ready",

Everyone nodded their heads and all walked inside; as they entered, the door slammed shut behind them, the thieves were now trapped inside; observing their surroundings, they noticed a colosseum-like area, the thieves knew that the treasure was there; making their way in, they noticed a giant black cup, prison cells surrounding the area as well.

"There are no other passages leading out of this room", Fox stated, "it appears, this is our final destination... the depths of Mementos",

"In that case, is the treasure of Mementos somewhere in here", Noir asked

"That should be the case", Joker said

"Guys... give or take, but... I think this thing is the treasure", Light stated pointing to the giant cup

"I think your right, I've never been here, but I can sense it", Mona stated, "If we get rid of it, the public should come to its senses",

"But something that large will be impossible to carry out of here", Fox stated as well

"We just gotta make it disappear, right, if we can't move it, then, we'll hafta destroy it", Skull stated

"Yeah... that will work", Mona said

"Once we do that, the entire Metaverse will disappear, right", Panther asked as then cup sent out red lights and the people began acting up as then laughter could be heard

"What was that", Panther asked

"Don't worry about that right now, let's attack the treasure", Mona stated as everyone then began to attack the treasure; however, people began shouting to not touch the "Holy Grail", as then the treasure soon healed itself, which shocked the Phantom Thieves.

"This'll never end", Skull shouted

"It seems hopeless if there are this many inmates supporting it", Fox stated

"You fools, human, yet wishing to eradicate the desires of humanity, repent", a voice called out

"The treasure's talking", Queen said in shock

"I am revered as the granter of dreams for all who behold me, a being most commonly known as the Holy Grail, the Prison of Regression is representative of the collective desires of humanity", the Holy Grail said, "they wished to be chained down, surrender their cognition, and neglect the world around them; these feebleminded common folk will make your "social reform" all for naught, the shared heart of the masses has fallen into an excess of indolence and transformed into a prison.

The Phantom Thieves began attacking the treasure again, this time the treasure attacking them back; as the treasure healed itself, it slowly turned from black to gold.

"You imbeciles are intoxicated by an undesired "justice", this is the will of the children of man who have fallen into sloth", the Holy Grail stated, "my shine is proof that they desire my existence, as long as humanity yearns for me, I shall never perish",

"We won't accept that", Joker shouted

"Humanity already wishes for their distortions to be actualized, I am merely the being that will ultimately grant those wishes", the Holy Grail explained, "now, it is time I refrain from my place in this world, and begin to encroach upon reality itself",

The Holy Grail began glowing as then the Grail shot a beam of light at the Phantom Thieves; the Phantom Thieves were unable to dodge the attack and ended up getting hit.

"Now, the time for the fusion has come"

(Real World, Shibuya)

Everyone fell out of the Metaverse and back into reality, although they all had a rough landing, they were all ok; soon after it began raining, the rain was a reddish pink color, and Mementos began fusing into reality; the thieves were shocked as everyone else didn't notice anything at all.

"Why isn't anyone noticing this abnormality", Yusuke asked

"It's probably because they don't feel that it's odd", Makoto said as then Futaba fell down on her knees holding her head

"What's wrong", Ryuji asked running over to Futaba

"I feel... woozy", Futaba stated

"Here Futaba", Ann said holding her hand out, but instead Ann fell down as well followed by Haru then everyone else.

"Is this... by the Holy Grail too", Makoto asked,

"What's all this about", Ryuji asked as he then fell down and then screamed as he saw his hand slowly disappearing; everyone else having either a hand or a foot slowly disappearing

"Indeed, this is my doing, you imbeciles are about to disappear from the people's cognition", the Holy Grail said, its voice coming out of nowhere, "Mementos and Reality have become one; thus, those who have disappeared from cognition cannot exist anywhere",

Ryuji let out a scream as he then disappeared, right in front of everyone; everyone shocked at what happened

"Ryuji", Ann shouted before slowly disappearing as well

"Is this really it", Yusuke asked before letting out a scream and disappearing

"Inari, no... no", Futaba shouted as she then disappeared

"Morgana... where did we... go wro-", Makoto asked but was unable to finish her sentence as she disappeared; Haru was trying hard not to break down as she disappeared

"No... No... I don't wanna disappear...", Luna shouted in tears as she then disappeared

"Is this all my fault, because I... brought you all there", Morgana asked

"It's not your fault", Akira reassured

"I-I... didn't mean to... I'm sorry... this mission's... a failure", Morgana said as he disappeared, only Akira was left; rolling on his back, he stretched his arm out towards the sky, all that was on his mind at the moment were his teammates; letting some tears fall from his eyes, Akira then disappeared... the Phantom Thieves were gone.
